I can explain in a real sense what "the words fly over the waters and create" and why "the word" is associated to God.

It has everything to do with the code of alphabet. Writing. Without it there would not have been an explosion of intelligent progress which is what God is really about, the truth, the correct measurement, the science, what is wise intelligent and true at least primarily in the long history of God. Another quick example has to do with why fire is associated to God, because it was the only thing that brought light in the dark, cooked their food, baked their bread, so on and so forth. The fire was seen as enlightening and bright, pushes away the dark.

They say the word or the Bible itself was written before the creation because it was kept by God who then passed it on to Moses. The truth just 'is' and we uncover it when we search for God or when we search for truth.

The words fly is expressive and dated to the time of it's writing and is devotional considering they were associating these writings to God because of the wisdom being passed down by it but only for those who could read in that writing specifically, until they were translated.

There is no writings in the same traditional time of storytelling and writings that can compare to the Bible, only maybe Greeks and they have much to do with the mingling with jews and the forming of Christianity which was actually a religious progressive movement leading people out of the ancient beliefs that surrounded the Temple of Jerusalem specifically since it was the center for them.
