On September 4, 2023, the 36-year-old comedian started trending on social media after he was confused for a Trump supporter who had reportedly died by the same first name.
"Talk about emotional whiplash."
The rumors, however, were cleared up on Monday night by a tweet sent out by X user, Brenden Dilley.
"I have awful news to share, and I wish I could do so in a more dignified manner," he wrote.
"We lost one of the best patriots in the Maga movement Saturday night when @AKA_RealDirty (Josh) was found unresponsive in his bed."
