Elon Musk is threatening to sue the Anti-Defamation League for 'roughly $22billion' for trying to destroy X by accusing him and the social media giant of being anti-Semitic.

In a series of tweets sent out Monday night, Musk, 52, said he plans to launch a lawsuit against the ADL 'to clear our platform's name on the matter of anti-Semitism.'

'It looks like we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League … oh the irony!' the billionaire wrote.

He added: 'In our case, they would potentially be on the hook for destroying half the value of the company, so roughly $22 billion.'

In May, it was reported that the app's value had fallen to one-third of what it was when Musk purchased it in October - from $45 billion to $15 billion in six months.

Musk's battle with the ADL began Monday morning when he called out the organization for being responsible for the company's quickly falling profits

'Since the acquisition, The @ADL has been trying to kill this platform by falsely accusing it & me of being anti-Semitic,' he wrote in an initial tweet.

'Our US advertising revenue is still down 60 per cent, primarily due to pressure on advertisers by @ADL (that's what advertisers tell us), so they almost succeeded in killing X/Twitter,' his tweet continued.

In a separate tweet, he shared that he believes the ADL is responsible for as much as 50 percent of Twitter's fallen value - 'roughly $22 billion,' according to Musk.

Earlier in the day, Musk responded to a tweet from X News Daily sharing that X's advertising revenue in the US is down by around 60 percent.

The account shared that the advertising revenue decrease is a 'significant factor behind X's continuing issues with achieving profitability.'

Musk purportedly believes that the ADL has urged advertisers not to use X over Musk's relaxing of rules around hate speech and harassment.

Some Jewish users online have claimed to see an uptick in anti-Semitic tweets that go unpunished by Musk and anyone else at X.

In response to the accusations of rampant anti-Semitism on the platform, the Chief Twit vehemently denied letting hate speech run free on his app.

'To be super clear, I'm pro free speech, but against anti-Semitism of any kind,' he wrote in a tweet.

Even with his ongoing battle, Musk said he has no plans to ban ADL from X.

Following his barrage of tweets about the organization, a movement to '#BanTheADL' has emerged from some of Musk's most devoted followers.

The CEO has engaged with tweets that are part of the movement but clarified online that he has no intention to ban them anytime soon.

'Despite the immense harm ADL has done to X/Twitter, they still will not be banned in this platform,unless they break the law,' he shared.

Russian MOD estimates Ukraine's counteroffensive casualties

Kiev has lost some 66,000 troops and 7,600 pieces of heavy weaponry in three months, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said

Ukraine has suffered heavylosses during three months of its summercounteroffensive against Russia but has failed to achieve its goals at any part of the front line, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has reported.

Kiev’s forces have lost more than 66,000 troops and over 7,600 heavy weapons since launching their push in early June, the Russian official estimated on Tuesday.

Despite the “colossal” cost in manpower and equipment, the Ukrainian government continues its operation because it desperately needs to show some kind of success to its Western sponsors, Shoigu also claimed.

The most tense situation remains in Zaporozhye Region, where Kiev deployed brigades from its strategic reserves that had been trained with the help of Western instructors, the minister said.

He provided details about Russian military units involved in repelling Ukrainian attacks in various directions before describing Kiev’s counteroffensive as a failure. In an attempt to obfuscate this reality, “Ukrainian militants are attacking civilian objects and tout those terrorist attacks as military victories,” Shoigu alleged.

The defense minister was speaking at a government meeting with Russian military leaders.

The minister’s last update of this type was in late July and put Ukrainian losses at some 20,800 troops and 2,200 pieces of weaponry.

Kiev does not disclose statistics about its military losses but Ukrainian officials have acknowledged that their counteroffensive was proceeding poorer than had been hoped, and is being waged at a serious cost to the army.

US weapons falling into hands of militants – Pakistan

Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has lamented that equipment left behind in Afghanistan has strengthened the Pakistani Taliban

Much of the American weaponry abandoned during Washington’s chaotic 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistanhas fallen into the hands of Islamist fighters, including the Pakistani Taliban, Pakistan’s prime minister has warned.

The US weapons have boosted the firepower of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), “emerging as a new challenge” for Islamabad, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar told reporterson Monday. American military equipment has enhanced the capabilities of TTP fighters, contributing to increasingly fierce attacks on Pakistan’s security forces in recent months, he said.

The TTP is allied with the Afghan Taliban, which seized Kabul and returned to power as US forces were evacuating from the war-torn country in August 2021. Kakar did not provide details on how the abandoned US weapons had wound up in the hands of Pakistani militants.

More than $7 billion worth of US military equipment was left behind in Afghanistan, according to a Pentagon assessment released last year. The gear, which had been given to the US-backed government in Kabul during Washington’s 20-year occupation of the country, included aircraft, military vehicles, communications equipment and firearms. Government forces surrendered or lost their US-supplied weapons as they were overrun and routed by the Taliban.

Critics of US President Joe Biden’s administration have pegged the value of abandoned equipment much higher. For example, former President Donald Trump claimed that US forces had left $85 billion worth of weaponry and equipment to the Taliban. US troops also jettisoned some of their own equipment, such as helicopters and Humvees, but the Pentagon said much of that gear was destroyed or “retrograded.”

Kakar called for a “coordinated approach” to dealing with the leftover weapons. US equipment, such as guns with laser sighting systems, have reportedly enabled TTP fighters to target Pakistani security forces from greater distances. Those government forces are charged with defending “our home, children, mosques and places of worship,” the prime minister said.

Kakar was installed as Pakistan’s caretaker PM last month, bridging the leadership gap until the country’s next parliamentary elections are held, possibly early next year.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has amended its requirements for military service, allowing the conscription of people with various chronic conditions.

According to the new decree, which came into force in late August, the military can now conscriptpeople with conditions including hepatitis of different types, HIV without symptoms, clinically-treated tuberculosis, as well as various blood diseases. The new rules also allow the conscription of peoplewith “mild short-term manifestations of mental disorders,”as well as “slowly progressing diseases of the central nervous system.”

Apart from lifting the restrictions from the aforementioned groups, the military also eased the health requirements for those seeking to serve with Ukraine’s elite units – the airborne and marine forces.

Ukraine launched a nationwide mobilization in the early days of the conflict with Russia, which broke out in February 2022. In recent months, Kiev has apparently ramped up its conscription efforts, with videos circulating online showing enlistment officers chasing potential recruits in the streets, physically assaulting them, and threatening them with weapons.

Kiev’s troops have sustained heavy losses in both personnel and hardware amid the counteroffensive effort against Russian forces that was launched in June. It has so far failed to yield any tangible results, while dozens of Western supplied tanks and armored vehicles, including German-made Leopard 2 tanks and US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, as well as thousands of servicemen, have been lost.

Biden fears being perceived as ‘stupid’ – biographer (Too late for that)

The author of a new book has claimed that the US president has “insecurities” related to his 1987 plagiarism scandal

More than three decades on from the plagiarism scandal that torpedoed his first campaign for the White House, Joe Biden remains insecure about how people perceive his intelligence, the author of a new biography on the US president has claimed.

“One of the things that’s so interesting about Joe Biden is that he hasthese insecurities that govern a lot of the ways in which he moves through the world,” author Franklin Foer said-on Sunday in an NBC News interview. “And so, one of his primary insecurities is that he doesn’t want to be perceived as stupid because he had this plagiarism scandal back in the 1980s.”

As a result, Foer said, Biden insists on thorough preparation before interviews and press conferences so he can have “mastery”of the topics that he will be discussing. “His prep sessions can go on for long periods of time.” (KEK)

Biden became a laughingstock when he got caught plagiarizing the speeches of other politicians while campaigning for president in 1987. Media outlets also reported that he lied about his academic record and his involvement in the 1960s civil rights movement.

In one infamous encounter with voters, Biden insulted the intelligence of a man who questioned his credentials. He also bragged that he had gone to law school on a full academic scholarship, earned three degrees, finished in the top half of his class, and was named outstanding student in political science. All of those statements were false. As president, he has continued to make false claims about his background, including civil rights activism in the 1960s.

Foer’s book, ‘The Last Politician’, details Biden’s first two years in the White House. He wrote that the 80-year-old Biden’s mental sharpness has been hindered by his advanced age, “depriving him of the energy to cast a robust public presence or the ability to easily conjure a name.” He added that the president’s public image “reflected physical decline and time’s dulling of mental faculties that no pull or exercise regime can resist. In private, he would occasionally admit to friends that he felt tired.”

Both before and after being elected president, Biden has suffered frequent mental gaffes during public appearances. He bristled when White House staffers tried to walk back his March 2022 statement at an event in Warsaw suggesting that his administration aimed to achieve regime change in Russia, forcing President Vladimir Putin from office.

Biden “resented his aides for creating the impression that they had cleaned up his mess,” Foer wrote. “Rather than owning his failure, he fumed to friends about how he was treated like a toddler. Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?”

The author said Biden has also seethed over his low public approval ratings, Foer said, largely blaming the media for failing to show all the ways his administration has been superior to that of his predecessor, Donald Trump. “It was also a failure of his own White House to effectively communicate,” according to the book. “He complained that there weren’t enough surrogates on television defending him.”

Foer said he wouldn’t be greatly surprised if the president ends his 2024 re-election bid later this year. “It wouldn’t be a total shock,” he told NBC host Chuck Todd. “When he talks about his life, he uses this word ‘fate’ constantly. Joe Biden is a very religious guy, and fate is a word loaded with religious meaning, and he always talks about, ‘He can’t say where fate goes.’ And so I always, when I hear that, to me, it’s the ellipses in the sentence when he’s talking about his own future.”
