Why have I stuck with it this long? Because the drops added up. Not all, mind you, but enough for it to be undeniable. I knew within the first few months of making my way here half a decade ago. And then it just kept adding up for another three years. Don't ask me to explain "adding things up," it's not exactly math and it's not exactly something I can articulate, it's just one of my stupid quirks I've learned to live with.

I have a hard time trusting the motivation or content of any former IC member, contractor or no, that just up and quits the field to become a "journalist," especially when it occurred under POTUS Trump's administration. His whole story of why he left reads like fanfiction.
