I think it's the glue. Stores are starting to use cheaper and cheaper cups and lids in the name of eco-science, but they all fall apart and literally start melting if the beverage is hot (coffee, tea). You can see this nasty ass glue holding the cups together once it fully breaks apart.

Also my city completely replaced plastic bags with paper ones that rip apart before you even leave the store. Even the cashier will tell you that the bags are horseshit.

It's almost like there is this invisible enemy that's sole purpose is to just keep making your life more and more miserable and inconvenient.
