as a catholic i've helped people of every race, religion, and class. poor muslim refuges that dont speak a word of english to middle class hindu who cant find a job. worked with them using translation apps on phones to get them into housing, get some groceries, find jobs, enroll kids in schools.

those are the catholics i know. hard working, ground level, sleeves rolled up, doing the heavy lifting. all this hating on catholics i just dont understand. at the ground level i've helped buddhists, shinto, other christians, etc.

at the end of the day they thank god by whatever name for our help. and at the end of my day i thank god i was able to help these people in need.

a church is not a building. a church is not an organization. a church is a group of people. my parish, the people of this community, we are the church.

i would say the same of your church. for some reason though you see my parish community as inferior. that must mean your church is superior.
