and then with Bill Richardson also in the news New Mexico is going to be a focal point of something and it seems that it is going to be bad. Anons and political heads have speculated for years they would use the concept of guns as a medical public health crisis and use those powers they think they got from covid to expand their control powers.

The courts have to be going crazy will know more Monday since the courts are closed for the weekend which is why they also did it on a Friday. The question about standing which is always kind of a joke, I think would require someone to get arrested for it first, but under color of law rules from my understanding, even just claiming the violation of your rights is a violation of your rights. So technically the governor has just violated the sovereign rights of every new mexican gun owner or not.

which is why they are pivoting to the gun issue. They realize they will not be able to declare the same public health emergency because people will fight back, but will people fight back over their guns. Well now you are provoking an armed conflict. That is all this new mexico thing is doing it is setting up armed conflict.

again if you go by the color of law and deprivation of rights the very act of doing it is the damages. But this is not a case about damages except for the trust in the nation as a whole. Can you put a financial number on it, maybe, but that is not the point the point is the rights of citizens are being denied, per not only the state constitution but the federal one as well. Does it cause emotional disstress and worry well that is psychological damage done to you due to the illegal activity. Damages are awarded after usually by a jury, but again my understanding is watching LA law in the 90's but, you only have to prove damage was done, not how much you deserve for said damages.

the rules don't apply to law enforcement, or gangs duh. I am hoping the New Mexico sheriffs dept would release a statement saying they would not follow this illegal order, but that is stupid and foolish on my part to hope that considering what is known.

Lujan Grisham said state police would be responsible for enforcing what amount to civil violations. Albuquerque police Chief Harold Medina said he wonโ€™t enforce it, and Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen said heโ€™s uneasy about it because it raises too many questions about constitutional rights.

>uneasy does not mean no.

Violators could face civil penalties and a fine of up to $5,000, gubernatorial spokeswoman Caroline Sweeney said. Under the order, residents still can transport guns to some private locations, such as a gun range or gun store, provided the firearm has a trigger lock or some other container or mechanism making it impossible to discharge.

>so the only way you can transport a gun now also is with a device that does not allow it to be fired. The cops could in theory just sit outisde a gun range and pull people over and search and see if they got the bullshit device.
