Yes and that bothers me a little. However, I think those that founded it were Falun Gong practitioners who are persecuted very badly by CCP, reportedly.
I have been very pleasantly surprised for the most part by how honest their work seems. A lot of it presents information I had pretty much figured out on my own but perhaps in greater detail. I really liked their reporting on civil asset forfeiture recently.
What's bothersome to me isn't their ownership, but the simple fact that there are no "real" Americans moving into that space: Newspapers. The ownership of local papers is controlled so badly. I live in a liberal "news desert" imo.

So Minnesota has a Department of Public Safety and the "Driver and Vehicle Services Director" thinks its his job to give driver licenses (REAL ID compliant?) to "illegal" immigrants. This reads like utter BS to me.
