CalOES Regional Disaster Ready Summit comes to Chico Friday

CHICO, Calif. - The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services will be hosting a Regional Disaster Ready Summit in Chico on Friday at the Enloe Conference Center located at 1528 Esplanade.

This is one ofeight disaster summits CalOES is holding throughout California between Wednesday and Friday, Sept. 29.

During the summit CalOES hopes to:

Strengthen community understanding of the emergency response system and what roles organizations can play

Connect with local emergency response staff and exchange contact information

Provide a table for regional community groups to connect, share assets and build new connectivity points

Further develop communication channels to enhance response and recovery efforts in communities

CalOES is partnering with Listos California to host the summit series.
