WOW. Defense for Ken Paxton just filed for Direct Verdict which calls for a vote of the Jury (the 31 State Senators).
R U an anon? Do you know the Ken Paxton impeachment trial is in it's 7th day of testimony before the TX State Senate? Do you know it's being live-streamed by many TX tv stations and even c-span?
For real anons: The great Texas lawyer (who may be in the Texas Hall of Fame) just made his biggest mistake (one of 100's so far). He had his star witness (which turned out to be a dud) on and while on 'direct' he got an objection on evidence he wanted to introduce which was objected by the defense and which was sustained by the Judge about 4-5 times in a row.
The Greatest Lawyer in Texas history then said to the Judge: We REST instead of we PASS the witness. The defense then did not provide cross on the witness but accepted the REST by Rusty. The witness was excused and left the chambers subject to recall by the defense.
Rusty pleaded that his mistake should not be held against the poor witness and then begged the defense to perform CROSS and make it right. The Judge said bullshit and said the ball is in the defense's court. The defense then called for a Direct Verdict!
Yep. The panel for WFFA tv don't know what to do so all they are doing is showing their bias. It's the best shit-show of the week. In fact, it could even be said it is notable.

It is a call for the 31 senators to dismiss the articles of impeachment. All it take is a majority of the 31. They could vote to dismiss them all at one time of vote on them one by one. The Texas senate has a pretty big Republican majority so that makes it even better.
