This is a good hypothesis. Along the lines of some things I have started to think. School enrollment in my district seems lower this year but district isn't saying so.
I am listening to this podcast (the interview at the end with Jim Shepherd. EPA is stopping the sale of Big Berkey water filters and calling the filters "pesticides". The filter is capable of filtering virus. I guess the FDA doesn't want people to drink water that doesn't have coronavirus in it?
