I heard a little bit of sodium bicarbonate diluted in water is good for the kidneys as well. The old timers used to use sodium bicarbonate (Arm & Hammer) all the time to detox.

Correct me, I could be wrong not a biologist, but doesn't the kidney manage PH levels? If so it would stand to reason why sodium bicarbonate would make a good substitute for a failing kidney.

Thanks for the information. I have taken it in minute amounts, diluted in water, before but only on occasion, never because I really needed to. I've often heard it is good for detox and the control of PH levels. I thought "why not, can't hurt", I can't say it did any harm, might have helped me in some ways.

I'll have to look into that, not going to do anything until I know for sure others have tried it without any negative side effects. I hold the same cautions for everything else honestly.
