President of Iran to Participate in UNGA

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will leave Tehran for New York on Sunday night to attend the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Iranian president is going to deliver an address to the UNGA on Tuesday.

Apart from meetings with the heads of state and top officials of other countries on the sidelines of the event, Raisi will attend a gathering with Iranian expatriates and economic activists residing in the US.

The general debate of the UN General Assembly will begin on September 19 and continue until September 26.

(CNN) — President Joe Biden next week will hold his first face-to-face meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since the Israeli leader came back into office.

Biden will meet Netanyahu on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, before hosting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington later in the week.

Washington: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will pay his second wartime visit to Washington next week, the White House announced Friday, in a bid to solidify the support of his country's crucial backer, which has shipped billions of dollars in aid to fight Russian invaders.

President Zelensky will travel to the White House on Thursday for talks with President Joe Biden and also hold meetings at the US Congress, where elements of the rival Republican Party are hesitant as President Biden seeks to push through a major new package for Kyiv.
