Old fags may remember when we had F16s dropping, USS Donald Cook and the USS McCain collisions (see links)…it was thought that these were all due to Chyna backdoor in chips used by the US. I remember that the US has requirements that all military components need to be from US manufacturers but waivers to this are often given.
