Here's my thoughts on RR. The Dems set him up as the red line, not the GOP. Potus's wording played them perfectly. RR is at the center of it, but like Mueller was given a chance to "redeem" himself in action, even though at the end their reputations will be in shatters.
RR mentioned ongoing investigations and the problems with leaks (ie the FISA information being incorrect) so while giving over the information to the house would be revealing (to them) it would do no good to the people if there are still members there that will leak wrong information to the press.
By forcing the confrontation, it gives the libs hope. RR looks to be fighting back, but all he's doing is making it necessary for Potus to declas and reveal to the people. Who cares what the house sees as they aren't the ones that need the revelations. They can deal with it after the reveal and their actions will expose those that have been misleading.
RR's past actions will be exposed, but he served his role in getting the information out. He's played his part… the perfect role in the perfect script.
