Here's the deal with organizing QR info.
Once upon a time, used to be there was a lot of info in the Dough itself, so that bakers had to copy five pages every time they baked.
Now that info is in the Dough Resources thread, most of it anyway.
RE pinned threads:
It used to be that a lot of the pinned archive threads that are now in QR used to be in /comms - maintained by the BO there. During the uproar in summer 2020, there was a "demand" (at least by oss) to move everything onto QResearch. So that's what happened.
Later, those threads fell into neglect. TripleA, the current board archivist, spent months restoring them in Jan-March 2022 - those are many of the threads now at the top of the catalog. You may not value them but others do.
TBH, I can't think of a good reason why General threads be on the very top of the Catalog. Catalog functions well now, we seldom have to use the Index. General's are easy to locate.
The big thing all along was organizing info to simplify the BREADS, because that's what bakers deal with all the time. That was done. Makes baking for Reporters real easy, just 3 posts now.
