My grandfather an Orthodox Slav who lived in the "Ukraine" was forced to fight on the side of the Bolsheviks and was captured by the Wehrmacht in the Ukraine in 1942! They were burned by the bolsheviks as cannon fodder against the Germans and have surrendered in their tens of thousands!
