As a smoker, I can tell you there is a fine line between an individual's pursuit of happiness and the pursuit of happiness of others around you. Not everyone wants exhaled tobacco smoke around them, and that is something I can and do respect, as it can be stinky depending on the type of tobacco (cigarettes, the worst offender) and the smell can linger on clothing and some people may not appreciate that.
