Oh that's great.

Do you still have the original MP4?

BV Triple-A here, I noticed that 8kun says that the uploaded MP4 is around 12 megs, but it's actually 16 megs and exceeds the maximum upload limit, which should not be possible.

I suspect a bug on 8kun, that changes up certain videos, but I would need to get the original, so that it can get sent to administrators.

Did you maybe upload the original, then got the error message, then compressed it, but kept the original filename, and uploaded that again?

Maybe there is a bug when uploading files and it stores that file anyway, even when it's too large for a short moment.

Somehow on 128ducks the 16/17 megs file is stored, which should not be possible. I'm trying to figure out a way how this could have happened.

can you please upload the 17meg variant as well as the smaller 12? meg variant somewhere else, on some file sharing site?

Or rename them and upload them separately under their own names, maybe that's the problem.

Did you compress it and save it under the same filename?

Something is off.

The Video that you posted in this thread is 10 megs, according to 8kun and has the hash filename https://media.128ducks.com/file_store/e098c589ebc74d68fd09ae69600960564ce36072d1986b7407ac13c15d8b3d64.mp4

the post yesterday was:

>>19608879

As you can see 8kun says 12.44 MB, but when you download it you get a file that has the size of 17,258,797 bytes, which should not be possible.

the hash filename is https://media.128ducks.com/file_store/ca9357b8a4ad3002e2424a2cc05b421922a8d16b5cdd93add7eadacd828fb3e6.mp4

but when you check the file content against the file hash on 128ducks, it should even have the hash 53c59304d5fca5cc7e0cfbf8cbccdba28080697f2b34c2c4c639ba8d1c831d82

So something on 8kun seems to be storing file uploads for some time and reusing them instead of the reuploads.

This type of error has been happening for months now, and I'm trying to figure it out and get it fixed, because all notable posts get reposted over at >>>/qnotables/ and when this happens one has to manually compress these files, to re-upload them.
