Tucker Carlson unleashes on the abortion regime, stressing its business is the ancient 'sin' of child sacrifice: 'This is not a political debate. This is a spiritual battle'

Tucker Carlson unleashed righteous fury on the abortion regime in America during a recent address to Christians, stressing that anyone who advocates for the slaughter of the unborn "is your enemy" and that the practice of abortion is an evil "religious rite" that is "as old as time."

The Center for Christian Virtue, a religious conservative outfit that advocates for public policies reflective of "the truth of the Gospel," hosted Tucker Carlson for its gala in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sept. 21.

The 54-year-old featured speaker indicated that he and his family left the Episcopal Church owing to its alleged transformation into an "aggressively pagan institution" and in response his former minister's apparent unwillingness to prioritize salvation over safety during the pandemic.

"Why is she worried about dying? She's a Christian minister. Like, why should she care?" said Carlson, who indicated church services had been greatly curtailed for fear of COVID-19. "If you're afraid to die, then you don't really mean it. … Okay, not a Christian."

Although he stepped outside his particular church, Carlson did not give up the faith. Rather, he suggested he has since gotten "to understand God better," in part by poring over the Bible and the eternal truths contained therein.

Extra to finding reassurance in the account of the conversion of St. Paul of Tarsus — whereby even "a truly awful person … could become one of the great people of all time" — Carlson observed an all-too-familiar evil "chronicled in great detail throughout the Hebrew Bible" that appears to have survived to become a bloody ritual of the left and the powers that be.

Carlson noted that human sacrifice, ritual child sacrifice in particular, "rears its head about every four chapters. … Of all the sins the ancients committed, that sin, every single time it's described, is called detestable, at least in the [Revised Standard Version]."

In virtually every instance, Carlson suggested the terms of the sacrifice were more or less clear: In exchange for the annihilation of innocence and innocents, the bloodied perpetrators would receive "power and contentment and happiness."

"Every civilization on the face of the earth has engaged in it. … The archaeological record tells us that human sacrifice, the sacrifice of children, the killing of children, is the one constant in human civilization," continued Carlson.

Carlson suggested that this unnatural but universal decision, which "cuts against the imperative of evolutionary biology" and does not appear to have been reached organically, is the result of "outside forces … acting on people at all times throughout history, in every culture on the planet, to convince people that if they sacrifice their children, they will be happy and safe."

Tailoring his comments to his Ohio audience, Carlson noted that the state's ballot initiatives have once again made clear this "religious rite" continues to have many supporters in the United States.

OpenAI Seeks $90 Billion Valuation In Potential Sale Of Existing Shares

OpenAI has been in discussions with investors about a possible share sale which would value the AI startup behind ChatGPT at between $80 and $90 billion,nearly triple what it went for in an April share sale.

The startup, which Microsoft owns 49% of, says it plans to reach $1 billion in revenue this year, and much more next year. The company generates revenue by charging $20 per month for access to its most advanced public version, GPT-4, as well as licensing the large language models behind the bot.

The deal is expected to allow employees to sell their existing shares as opposed to the company issuing new ones to raise additional capital. OpenAI representatives have begun pitching investors on the deal, the people said, though it is possible the terms could change.

A valuation of $80 billion or more would make OpenAI one of the most highly-valued global startups, behind Elon Musk’s SpaceX and TikTok owner ByteDance. -WSJ

In April, OpenAI closed a $300 million sale of shares which valued the company at $27 billion - $29 billion, securing funding from VC firms including Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Thrive and K2 Global. This was separate of Microsoft's investment which closed in January.

That said, the company is currently being sued by a group of prominent authors who have joined a class action lawsuit which alleges that products like ChatGPT illegally uses their copyrighted work to train their models.

"At the heart of these algorithms is systemic theft on a massive scale," the plaintiffs claim.

According to James Grimmelmann, professor of digital and information law at Cornell University Law School, "If anyone is going to win on the straight-up copyright infringement claims against OpenAI, this is probably the lawsuit that has the best chance of it."

Globalism, climate-change alarmism, and cultural self-annihilation have all come under serious challenge. It’s a welcome start to a Well-Deserved Thrashing of the New World Order.

In Lampedusa, the Italian island midway between Europe and Africa, and at Eagle Pass, Texas, and elsewhere along the visible and increasingly invisible frontiers that separate the global North from the South, the idea of permissive migration in an economically unequal world is being tested to destruction. Lampedusa was inundated last week with another surge of migrants from Africa, larger than the population of the island itself. In Texas, the influx across the border with Mexico became a torrent.

The demographic tsunami from the global South as the North’s population shrinks is in its early stages, and most people can see clearly what happens when leaders insist on a moral code that suggests our obligations to indigent foreigners are as great as those to our own citizens. It won’t survive the political backlash now under way in both Europe and America, as even U.S. Democrats and Brussels Eurocrats are slowly starting to grasp.

The second pillar, the moral imperative of self-abasing action to combat climate change, is falling too—most interestingly again in Europe and the U.K., where it has long been the official religion of the secularist priesthood.

There is an air of surrealism around the climate-change debate in Britain and in much of Europe. The U.K. has dramatically reduced carbon emissions over the past 30 years, thanks in significant part to technological innovation. Its emissions per capita are now down to where they were in the mid-19th century. The British government could mandate tomorrow the elimination of all carbon emissions and a return to agrarian subsistence, and, given the massive and rapidly rising levels of emissions from China, India and elsewhere, it wouldn’t make the slightest difference to the climate.

The third pillar—cultural self-annihilation—is also wobbling.

The most interesting evidence of this is an electoral debate under way in Australia. The left-wing government there, eager to impress the world with its moral bona fides, has called for a reform to the constitution designed to redress the grievances of the Aboriginal population. Called the Voice to Parliament, the measures would create a constitutional body that Parliament would be required to consult on all legislative and other matters relating to indigenous peoples.

The referendum that was expected to approve this change takes place next month, but the campaign has run into fierce opposition. The most recent polls suggest Australians will reject the move by a large majority. It seems they—like many of us in the rest of the West—have had enough of leaders’ insistence on dividing us by race and other attributes rather than uniting us around our common national identity.
