I read recently about an actor, Charles Laughton. His friend said he was looked over for parts in his later years, but really believed in the power of Art and theater, and was an enthusiast for achievement of this elusive aesthetic transcendence, in the "pursuit of his art, the "blue bird"?(which I guess is presumed to be always elusive?)

When I read that, I thought of this song.

Wonder if it some kind of code. Charles Laughton was said to be terrified of being ID'd as gay, and that he was.

Thinking about this related to Germany and Jew-Hate.

When the money was gone, they blamed the Jewish Bankers.

The royal perps used the Jewish Bankers as their front.

And the public's anger was directed to Jews as a whole, Germany being predominately Christian, so Jews were looked upon as "other" even thought very assimilated, to the point many did not consider themselves to be Jew; but considered themselves Germans. And of course had nothing to do with the currency devauluation.
