Smoking Gun: House Republicans Release Jim Biden’s Text Message to Hunter a Few Months Before Joe Biden Announces He Is Running For President

“Plausible deniability.”

On Wednesday, the House Ways and Means Committee voted to release new documents from IRS whistleblower testimony confirming that Hunter Biden sold access to his father Joe Biden via the “family brand.”

The explosive documents revealed Hunter Biden was selling the ‘Biden family brand’ in 23 countries.

“The Biden Family foreign influence peddling operation suggests an effort to sway US policy decisions,” House Ways and Means chairman Jason Smith said.

The Committee released a June 6, 2017, WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to a business associate that he was not willing to “sign over my family’s brand,” or give the individual “the keys to my family’s only asset.”

Chairman Smith added, “That asset could only be one person: Joe Biden.”

Among the documents released was a text message from Jim Biden to Hunter Biden talking about working with Joe Biden.

In December 2018, just months before Joe Biden announced he was running for president, Jim Biden (Joe’s slimy brother) text messaged Hunter Biden about working with Joe Biden.

“This can work, you need a safe harbor. I can work with you (sic) father alone !! We as usual just need several months of his help for this to work,” Jim Biden said in a text to Hunter Biden.

Gaetz says if McCarthy makes deal with Democrats for temporary funding, he cannot be GOP speaker

When asked if Gaetz would initiate a motion to vacate – which would force a vote on removing the House Speaker – he said that would be a last resort.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.) says that Kevin McCarthy (R-Ca.) cannot continue to be the GOP House Speaker if he makes a deal with Democrats regarding spending bills.

"If Kevin McCarthy uses Democrat votes in the House of Representatives to advance Joe Biden's spending priorities, he cannot remain as the Republican speaker," Gaetz said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

"Maybe he could remain as the Democrat speaker or as a speaker that oversees some sort of coalition of Republicans and Democrats," Gaetz added. "But if you want to be the Republican Speaker, you definitely cannot use Democrats to preserve your power and to advance Joe Biden's spending priorities."

One of the more contentious differences between House Republicans is continuing to provide aid to Ukraine in the spending package. The House Freedom Caucus has pledged not to vote for it, and in an August statement said "we will oppose any blank check for Ukraine in any supplemental appropriations bill.”

When asked if Gaetz would initiate a motion to vacate – which would force a vote on removing the House Speaker – he said that would be a last resort.

"It still is in Kevin McCarthy's hands whether or not we really face that, because if we didn't do a CR and if we plowed through these appropriations bills, if we forced the Senate to negotiate on the terms of single subject bills, which liberals, conservatives, moderates all seem to agree is the right process – if we did that, I do believe Kevin McCarthy could save his speakership," Gaetz concluded.

If Congress doesn't pass spending legislation by Sept. 30, the U.S. government will shut down.

Waffle, fastidious yet unadulterated waffle. This is the day of the PwC whitewash. Michael West reports on two cover-ups, that of PwC and PwC Global.

The Accountants of Fortune at PwC hired Ziggy Switkowski to conduct an ‘independent’ review into the governance of the Big 4 firm. Nobody knows better than PwC that you don’t commission an ‘independent expert report’ if you don’t know what it’s going to say. And so it is that Ziggy has delivered a humbling admonishment spectacularly lacking in evidence of any wrong-doing, but long on motherhood statements.

Expertly, Ziggy told us what we already knew: greed, secrecy, culture issues. He managed to do this entirely without naming one name, without holding one human being to account. And entirely, expertly, without even telling the story about how the breaches happened.

He even admits PwC did not allow him to access to documents such as board papers; only “samples”. The PwC partners allowed him to see some “samples”. Hooray for samples.

Hard on the heels of Ziggy’s “independent review”, the Accountants of Fortune sallied forth with their own document Orwellianly titled “Statement of Facts”. They humbly accepted Ziggy’s recommendations to lift their governance game, and declared the investigation “is now complete”.

It is redolent of Rupert Murdoch’s “This is the most humble day of my life” apology before the Leveson inquiry into News Corp bribing police and hacking the phones of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler, relatives of dead British soldiers and victims of the London bombings. Time to move on now.

Statement of facts?

We interrupt this broadcast of the PR whitewash of PwC to remind readers of what actually happened. PwC has been busted for systemic fraud, charging millions to advise the government on tax reform, confidentially, while selling its tax secrets to foreign multinational corporations such as Google.

What Happens To Social Security Payments If The Government Shuts Down?

Mr. Burgeois said that staffing would be limited at SSA offices as many employees would be furloughed.

Some operations might be affected by a government shutdown—such as halts to processing of new Social Security claims, as happened during the 2013 shutdown.

"During the Clinton-era shutdown, new Social Security claims were not being processed because the agency furloughed 61,415 employees," Mr. Burgeois said. "As the shutdown wore on, the agency adjusted its plan and recalled workers to start processing new claims."

However, while some SSA operations would be impacted, Mr. Burgeois said Social Security checks will continue to be sent out.

"Social Security benefits are considered mandatory spending and are paid from the program’s trust fund, and therefore, the agency has the funds to continue paying benefits," he said.

Vivek Becomes Visibly Flustered As Rivals Pounce On Chinese Business Ties

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy became visibly flustered as his primary opponent South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott pounced on his Chinese business ties at Wednesday’s debate.

Scott attacked Ramaswamy for saying during the previous debate that all the candidates on the stage besides him were “bought and paid for.” He accused Ramaswamy of having been “in business with the Chinese Communist Party” and of being funded by the same Chinese business associates who partnered with Hunter Biden.

“That’s nonsense,” Ramaswamy said.

“It’s not nonsense,” Scott replied.

“I want to response, these are good people who are tainted by a broken system and it’s not the fault of anybody who’s involved,” Ramaswamy said.

“Bottom line, you were bought and paid for,” Scott interjected.

“Excuse me, excuse me, thank you for interrupting while I’m speaking,” Ramaswamy said.

“Well, you said bought and paid for,” Scott added.

“If I may,” Ramaswamy said as DeSantis and Scott both spoke. “If I may, I agree with Ron DeSantis on China. When every other CEO expanded into the Chinese market, you know what I did with my first company? We opened the subsidiary in China. But you know what I did that was different than every other company? We got the hell out of there and I when I started my next company, Strive—”

“2023, 2023,” Scott interrupted.

“When I started my next company Strive to compete against BlackRock—excuse me,” Ramaswamy said.

“No, no,” Scott replied.

Ramaswamy added he vowed never to do business in China again when he began his next company. As the moderators tried to move on, Ramaswamy still continued to finish his statement which led to another heated argument with Scott.

“I want to be respectful,” Ramaswamy said.

“But you weren’t respectful in the last debate,” Scott pushed back.

“But I do not believe, we are sitting here in the Reagan Library,” Ramaswamy said.

“Yes,” Scott began to interrupt.

“In honor of Ronald Reagan, if I may, and Tim, from one admirer of Ronald Reagan to another, from one admirer of Reagan to another, we cannot sit here and violate Reagan’s 11th commandment,” Ramaswamy said. “Let’s have a policy debate.”
