on potus - putin meeting and the future of NATO

I think that after Putin and Trump meeting, NATO will undergo serious reforms. As a Russian speakers who follows the Russian sentiment, they view NATO as an aggressor, supplying missiles to border countries and conducting military drills next to their border.

If indeed the division will start to go away, that means that the NATO Russia cold aggression will have to stop.

Think about it, NATO was officially put up against the Warsaw pact and the soviets. Why should the mutual aggression between Russia and the west continue if there is no cabal to pull the string, hold leverages etc?

As a side note about what is happening in the Ukraine from the official Russian perspective.

The Russians saw the Ukrainian revolution as a soros backed "velvet revolution", and they took over Crimea and helped the pro Russian militias out of fear for the well being of Russian speakers in east Ukraine.

Those who achieved power in Ukraine were hardcore nationalists and anti Russians who vocaly promoted violence and supported murderous nationalist from the Nazi times called Bandera.

Sure the previous Ukrainian president was corrupt, and corruption in general runs wild both in Ukraine and Russia, but after the revolution the situation became dangerous. People must understand that eastern Ukraine (including Crimea) is mainly inhabited by ethnic Russians who speak Russian and don't really merge in the Ukrainian national culture. West Ukraine on the other hand is inhabited mostly by ethnic Ukrainians who speak mostly Ukrainian.

It's a shame that so much division and death went over there. So many people lost their lives for nothing.

As for the Baltic countries and Finland, sure the animosity started in the Soviet times but it is long gone. Now I believe it's a question of who came first the egg or the chicken, these countries make aggressive moves towards Russia and Russia answers back. The answer to this question though IMO is the hidden hand (cabal).

good point.

But why not a "global coalition" against the "global terror"?

Why leave it as NATO vs Russia vs China?

maybe to keep additional perpetual conflicts up the cabals' sleeve.
