Any anons familiar with the Mothman? Was told about in high school by ex gf father, who claimed was his fav movie. Remember looking it up, and thought it was just creepy. Looking back now, the story is strange but seems to carry importance. Found this post in the archive, and had my mind blown that MEN in Black was based in the same area.

Visited Point Pleasant several years ago-very interesting place. It's the site of native/us troop activity back in the day. Chief Cornstalk's family was backstabbed/shot in the back after natives rode in with peace offers. Also where the Mothman (legends) is from, AND the men in black. Mothman prophecies movie with Richard Gere. Took the bus tour while we were there for the Mothman Festival. Abandoned bunkers they find sacrificed cats, etc in, weird pile of coal that moves almost overnight to hide view within certain areas of military enclosure, bridge collapse…lots to dig.
