Some of them may be legitimately working with the military & have proper clearance but the way some of these planes play hide and seek is a concern.

Civvy orgs like Cobham & ATAC don't play the same game of hide & seek like the 2-#### planes do.

One in particular 2-AUER seemed to pop up a lot in places where there were 'happenings'. I've not seen that one for a while though.

That is definitely confirmed. Some of them might be legit private operator/owners just providing a uber service for others, either black or white hat, just as a way to pay the bills when they are not using the plane themselves.
