This is ridiculous. Kennedy was a generally conservative justice anyway. Trump is just being given the opportunity to replace him with a younger, slightly more conservative (presumably) person.

Now if Breyer would get tired of losing, or Ginsburg would realize she wants a few peaceful moments without this job that she can't really do any more ... that would be even better.

Nah, the beak is more typical of Reform Jews or Fake Jews who are more like Palestinians. Jewish Voice for Peace, etc. Ever notice that it's an Arab look?

Being asked to leave is one thing. Where did Q say that by the way? Being fired is another, and we know presidents can't fire justices. There are quotes from presidents regretting some of their SCOTUS picks who changed once on the court.

Yes I know he supported Affirmative Action, a policy that's gotten very old and may be ripe for reversal. The court hasn't heard many such cases lately. But he was on the right side on the recent cases the court heard. Both the Travel Ban, and the infinitely important Government Employee Union (Janus) case.

One can undertand the nuances (which you don't appear to) and still push – more effectively – in the right direction.

Kennedy's choice? That means he was not pushed to leave. But maybe it was suggested to him, and it's not unusual for justices to help a friendly president appoint their replacement.
