I think it applies to Article I, Section 6, Clause 1:

I would need to go further into the legal language but "in session" I think is the important part of that. I have heard other anons bring this up, but this is what I think ties into why they can not be arrested, but again in session seems to matter. However the phrase "and in going to and returning from the same" would make it appear that they are covered all the time coming and going, or does that only apply to them while they are traveling to and from. I am not sure why this part was put in but due to it the corrupt politicians are allowed to run shit. The funny part is they could be arrested for exactly what they are doing with treason and bribery. But you would need a justice system that is not corrupt and a president that is not corrupt. SO again not sure what the fuck they are so scared of.

Bunch of other lawfare but if the government shuts down, federal courts can only last till about the 13th I read earlier, BUT that would mean the state courts could precede faster causing Georgia to maybe go first but I dont know how that plays out then. Maybe it wont affect the courts schedule at all.
