Chicago: Theft Causes Stores to Close, Mayor Proposes Government Grocery Stores

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson announced that the city will experiment with centrally planned grocery stores following the closure of Whole Foods and Walmart stores. Leftist politicians and the media refuse to acknowledge that rampant crime and theft are the cause of the loss of profitability. Compared to 2022, thefts are up 25% according to the Chicago Police Department while robberies are up 11%. Constant theft means constantly needing to restock stolen items to keep up with customer demands. There is no incentive for government-run grocery stores to cut costs because the costs are paid by the taxpayer. When you subsidize something you get more of it, including theft.

The number of Chicago residents who live a mile or more from a grocery store has jumped 63% since 2013. Liberals blame racism, discrimination and inequality, but the problem is crime.

Violent Ex-Con Released Early by Soros-Backed DA Kills and Rapes Again

Baltimore: Jason Billingsley, who was convicted of a sex crime in 2013, was released from prison after serving only nine years of a 30-year sentence. He has been arrested in the rape and murder Pava LaPere, a petite 26-year old woman who was the CEO of EcoMap Technologies. Ms. LaPere appeared to be a fervent supporter of the Marxist group Black Lives Matter and championed the soft-on-crime policies that led to her own demise. Billingsley is also suspected of rape, torture and trying to set a couple on fire just days before the murder of LaPere, leaving two more innocent people fighting for their lives.

Marilyn Mosby, who served as the District Attorney in Baltimore and was backed by George Soros, has become a focal point of outrage and criticism in the wake of Billingsley’s early release and Pava LaPere’s murder.

Houston: Fast Food Worker who Fired Gun at Customers Receives Just 1 Year Probation

Alonniea Fantasia Ford, the manager of a Jack in the Box restaurant in Houston, allegedly shot a handgun at a family in a vehicle at the drive-thru window after they complained that the curly fries that they ordered were missing and an argument ensued. Ford claims that racial slurs were uttered by Ramos once the curly fries were withheld. Ford also claims the gun did not go off even though the Houston police said a spent shell casing was found at the scene, and you can see the handgun discharge and eject a shell casing in the video. Ford was originally charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but was allowed to plead guilty to ‘deadly conduct’ which resulted in one year of ‘deferred adjudication’ which entails no jail time.

The customer is now suing Jack in the Box alleging that the company is negligent in its hiring practices for having Ford on staff as she previously plead guilty to making “terroristic threats” in 2012.
