For the PB post - fast mimicking works, too. Consuming fat, fiber and polyphenols actually boost the fast. Don't spike inulin, but water only fasting is not necessary. If you DO water only, include electrolytes!

I'm finding a few other articles that say yes, but it is not as well studies as water only fasting. I feel awful on water fasts, even with salts, so it is my compromise.

Fast mimicking isn't OMAD, necessarily. It is low calorie, low/no carb or protein with high fat. No intake to spike sugar, just keep the pangs at bay.
