Enoch walked with God.
He was a godly man.
What does that have to do with anything?
Noah was also a godly man, but he was still a sinner.
Sin still existed after the flood, obviously.
Jews didn't exist until God called Abram (Abraham). Abraham had Isaac. Isaac had Jacob. And God called Jacob Israel.
Jesus was of the line of Judah, whom Jacob's wife Leah gave birth to.
The reason that God called on Abraham, is because God keeps His promises and He promised Adam, after he sinned, that He would provide a Messiah.
Genesis 5:21-24
