Pilot didn't bother to setup the electronics properly before takeoff? Have seen quite a few MIL with 00000000 or missing callsign. I don't read anything particular into it. Your planefag intuition is developing, and more and more you will sense what's important.

  1. JSOC HOUND96 flew from Fayetteville, AR to Columbus, OH. Mission unknown.

  1. E6B Mercury over TX. Usually they fly over water. Maybe heading somewhere.

Roger. Let me introduce the planefags whom I know.

Red Arrow

Gungan Frog

Vene Vide Vici (I know, that's not grammatical Latin but that's his tag)

Glide Path Jake

and me, Recon7.

There may be a few others and if there are, pardon me for not mentioning your badge.

On this board there are also:

retired military pilots

former Navy air traffic controller

anons who know locations of mil airports

anons with other kinds of mil background

several, maybe half a dozen, ham radio anons

and folks seem to be spread across quite a few timezones, which helps.

I'm not a very good digger; I'm persistent but impulsive, and usually multiplexing several activities. All the planefags would greatly welcome a dedicated planefag digger. Our picture is filling in, but it is far from complete as to what these strange flights are actually doing.

Over.
