>we need drug prohibition to protect us from ourselves 🙄
“Every law & government upon the face of the Earth is illegal.” ~Bob Marley
Rastas place great emphasis on the idea that personal experience and intuitive understanding should be used to determine the truth or validity of a particular belief or practice. Many openly describe themselves as Christians adopting a literalist interpretation of the Gospel. Since it is often said that Christ came to “free us from the law”, then Marley’s words makes perfect common sense.
Matthew 22:34-39
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Nothing in the Gospel suggests that love should be guaranteed or its opposite, sin, should be criminalized by the Church or its secular offspring, the State.
The institutionalization of Christ’s teachings into enforceable laws “for the greater good” makes such perversion both counterfeit & evil.
“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery None but ourselves can free our minds.”
