>we need drug prohibition to protect us from ourselves 🙄

“Every law & government upon the face of the Earth is illegal.” ~Bob Marley

Rastas place great emphasis on the idea that personal experience and intuitive understanding should be used to determine the truth or validity of a particular belief or practice. Many openly describe themselves as Christians adopting a literalist interpretation of the Gospel. Since it is often said that Christ came to “free us from the law”, then Marley’s words makes perfect common sense.

Matthew 22:34-39

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Nothing in the Gospel suggests that love should be guaranteed or its opposite, sin, should be criminalized by the Church or its secular offspring, the State.

The institutionalization of Christ’s teachings into enforceable laws “for the greater good” makes such perversion both counterfeit & evil.

“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery None but ourselves can free our minds.”

~ Bob Marley

>See how living without laws works for you.

The first drug laws passed in the US were against OPIUM DENS in order to target cheap labors.

The INTENT of this LAW and all subsequent ones RE DRUG PROHIBITION by the STATE was to CONTROL MARKET SHARE, NOT FOR PUBLIC HEALTH. This is why the NARCOTICS BOURGH, the precursor to the DEA was created by the US DEPT of TREASURY, not the HEALTH DEPT.

We learned a tough lesson with alcohol prohibition, but then weaponized drug prohibition to target the poor and undesirable classes, while creating black markets to grow the power & wealth of the CIA. How did that turn out?

If laws were passed to make people begin wearing leg braces during childhood & then we repealed the law without teaching them as adults to walk without them, what would happen? Would an epidemic of people crawling down the sidewalk justify reinstating the brace law when we know historically that the State creates the very problems that it was empowered to solve?

I don’t disagree that legalizing all drugs without cultural norms in place is probably a bad idea, but there’s many factors at play causing the homeless crisis and it’s beyond naive to think throwing more FED paper $ into the WAR ON DRUGS is going to be the magic solution.

But if you think it is, then maybe you need another State mandated booster shot…
