Do we need a fourth trash can for batteries to be picked up on our curb. We only have three, and three separate trucks burning fuel to pick the three different trash cans.
It used to be one truck per household. You may not remember, even in the 80's one trash can and we took our recycling to a designated area in the city to be recycled. Newspapers and aluminum cans. The cans were put into a 'goat', machine and spit out coins for your empty cans.
I get the recycling, but it does come as a cost, in vehicles and gasoline.
Maybe they will turn the trucks into electric vehicles then we can watch the trucks burn up with the trash / recycling / yard waste all at one time.
My suggestion is recycle at your grocery store, they sold it to you, they should take some responsibility for the garbage, plastics, cans, paper. And the grocery should clean up the plastic bags littering the area around the store.
Quit drinking out of plastic, refill a bottle for water, coffee, tea, and cut down on sodas.
imho
