Yorktown Heights, where Ocasio-Cortez is not one of the elite areas in Westchester County. It's up in the north against Putnam County, and it doesn't have river frontage or anything particularly special. I think it's always been more diverse than some parts of the county.
I didn't know she's from Westchester County though. She's going to ride her ethnicity and her toughness. Hope her district gets tired of her fakeness.

Nobody talks about his HIV diagnosis any more. I've heard people saying they don't think he was ever HIV positive. But demonstrating that supposedly one can live with HIV served a "useful" social purpose in making anal sex less unacceptable.
In schools these days (NY state middle schools anyway) in sex ed they just say HIV is one of the STD's, like gonorrhea or syphilis. They don't make the distinction that it's terrible and incurable. A gay guy was debating me and admitted that's true, and intentional. I was shocked to discover it by getting my kid to talk about what he was learning in school, and I was waiting to hear about how HIV was terrible, and he never said it! Well I told him of course.
Or, Sessions to SCOTUS. Senate to SCOTUS is a reasonable transition, especially with AG background. And maybe Sessions can pull strings in the Senate to get confirmed, even though he seemed to have a tough time getting confirmed for AG.
House of Representatives to SCOTUS (if it were TG) is an awful big promotion. Even AG for Gowdy is a big step.
You're right. Trump has said he wants to pick young judges, so that excludes Sessions.
But I still don't think Gowdy has the gravitas. Trump likes people who have succeeded at senior levels for his senior jobs.
Well after that our space program worked OK. Even better after Korolev, the leader of the Soviet program, died mysteriously from complications from a simple operation. But whatevs, I don't think these people were doing politics. They (like Korolev and others in the Soviet Union) were required to do successful scientific work – or else.
