Over 100 Survivors Rescued and 160 Arrests Made in North East Ohio Human Trafficking Sting, Including EMTs, Nurses, and Educators

Operation Highlights from the Ohio Attorney General

The H.E.A.L. Human Trafficking Task Force, consisting of the Huron, Erie, Ashland and Lorain Sheriff’s Offices, along with the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, conducted a search warrant on an illicit massage parlor in Lorain County. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of more than $49,000 and furthered an active investigation into criminal activity and potential human trafficking.

The Columbus Division of Police’s PACT Unit (Police and Community Together) made 62 arrests over five days. The unit arrested Delbert Thomas, 75, of Columbus twice on the same day. After the first arrest, Thomas sought to buy sex in a different area of the city and was arrested a second time. The PACT Unit also arrested Joseph Henry, 47, of Columbus, who is a registered sex offender.

The Toledo Police Department and U.S. Border Patrol served search warrants on five illicit massage parlors. The search led to the seizure of $25,000 and numerous electronic devices associated with the businesses. Kwi Hood, Ziaojing Yuan, Chunya Jiao, Junjuan Tao, Young Stone, and Xiaoyan Gou are all facing charges of promoting prostitution.

The Summit Regional Human Trafficking Task Force served four search warrants on illicit massage parlors as part of ongoing investigations. Seven survivors of human trafficking were offered social services.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested one individual for felony possession of narcotics.

The Montgomery County Human Trafficking Task Force conducted a john sting operation and arrested Shawn Ryken, a staff sergeant, and Jason Goins, a major, from the U.S. Air Force, as well as Michael Masterson, an administrator at the University of Dayton, and Ramesh Karki, a professor at Indiana University.

The Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force arrested Jordan Perez, 35, of Masury, Ohio, on charges of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Perez brought a firearm to buy sex – but did not bring any money. He claimed he intended to pay for sexual services via a web app.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and Lancaster Police Department arrested Nick Claybourn, 29, of Rushville on charges of engaging in prostitution. Claybourn is a sixth-grade teacher in the Fairfield Union Local School District.

During their operation, the Southeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force had several encounters with individuals that led to felony arrests. Ethan Ross, 22, of Lowell, was arrested on an active warrant for kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and on a felonious assault charge, a second-degree felony. Jamey Lacy, 46, of Zanesville, was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs in a school zone, a fifth-degree felony, possession of a controlled substance, a fifth-degree felony, and soliciting, a third-degree felony. The task force also executed a search warrant on a suspected massage parlor in Belpre.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety offered services to 37 potential victims of human trafficking during two daylong outreach events.

NATO country’s ex-intel chief decries ‘insane’ treason charges

The former head of Denmark’s foreign intelligence agency, Lars Findsen, has been charged alongside the ex-defense minister

Former Danish foreign intelligence chief Lars Findsen and ex-Defense Minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen have spoken for the first time about the criminal case opened against them by Danish prosecutors. Both of the former officials were arrested last year on charges of state treason.

In an interview with The Guardian published on Monday, the two former officials insisted they were innocent. Findsen described the charges against him as “completely insane,” while Frederiksen claimed the case was a “hoax” and suggested it was politically motivated.

Prosecutors have accused the former senior officials of leaking classified government secrets. Findsen is set to stand trial this autumn for allegedly disclosing state secrets to several people, including journalists, his girlfriend, and close relatives such as his 84-year-old mother.

The prosecution has based its allegations on a series of conversations Findsen had that were recorded on listening devices hidden in his home. The former spy chief told The Guardian that he had been stunned to learn that spies from Denmark’s domestic intelligence agency had tapped his phone and wired his house as if he were a suspected terrorist or enemy foreign agent.

“That was the shocking thing,” he told the outlet. “To sit and look at your life transformed into police reports written from surveillance tapes.” Findsen noted that the recordings included his conversations with his children when they came back from school, and other aspects of his daily family life.

Former defense chief Frederiksen was arrested for allegedly disclosing classified information in a series of media appearances. The ex-minister denied revealing any secrets and stressed that the information he had shared was already in the public domain. He also accused the current Danish government of believing that an open secret can still be considered a state secret.

The information allegedly leaked by the two former officials relates to a scandal that unfolded in Denmark several years ago, when a whistleblower revealed that the country’s Defense Intelligence Service (FE), which was headed by Findsen, had illegally spied on Danish citizens and foreign officials such as ex-German Chancellor Angela Merkel on orders from the US National Security Agency (NSA).

The NSA’s ties to Danish intelligence had previously been suggested by whistleblower Edward Snoweden, who leaked a trove of classified documents in 2013 after working as a private contractor for the American spy agency. Copenhagen’s role in the spy scheme, however, was only confirmed after an internal Danish intelligence report was shared with the media.

US Government Frames Bitcoin Privacy As “Criminal”

New court documents reveal that the US government frames the use of blockchain analysis countermeasures as “criminal”.

In another unfortunate turn of events for anyone hoping their right to privacy to be protected as guaranteed by the US Constitution, the UN Declaration of Human Rights, or applicable state and federal law, the US government has argued that the disclosure of proprietary Chainalysis heuristics information in the case US vs. Sterlingov would “jeopardize numerous law enforcement investigations and impact the effectiveness of law enforcement tracing tools” by enabling the development of “criminal countermeasures to blockchain analysis.”

The oath each and every US government employee pledges when first taking office reads: “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

Apparently, this oath is only applicable so long it serves the US government’s agenda. While attempting to retain a protective order to seal the disclosure of Chainalysis heuristic information, the US government has, in essence, argued that the right to privacy does not exist when transacting on the blockchain. In the newly released court documents, the US government defines software developed to protect individual financial privacy on the blockchain, such as coinjoins, as “adversarial”, contending that the disclosure of Chainalysis training methods and techniques bears the reasonable expectation to enable “circumvention of the law.”

Unfortunately, it is unclear which laws the US government is referring to. The argument that the disclosure would enable “ criminals, drug trafficking organizations, and terrorists” to circumvent law enforcement cannot be made in good faith, as Chainalysis’ own 2023 Crypto Crime Report has found the overall transaction volume of illicit activity to lay at merely 0.24%.

Just as the early internet was allegedly only used for crime, the share of day-to-day commerce on the blockchain increases as Bitcoin adoption grows. It therefore cannot be argued that the development of privacy protecting software is adversarial in any sense of the word, except to Chainalysis’ business model and the surveillance agenda of the US intelligence complex, who invested $1.67 Million USD in Chainalysis in 2020 and another $1.64 Million USD in 2021 via the Central Intelligence Agency’s venture capital fund In-Q-Tel.

As long as the development and use of privacy protecting software such as PGP, E2EE or VPNs cannot be deemed as criminal under the first and fourth amendment, neither can the development or use of software aimed to protect one’s financial privacy in Bitcoin. However, it appears that constitutional frameworks do not stop the US government from putting forward statements which directly undermine the people’s right to protection from unwarranted surveillance.

Marc Elias and National Democrats Sue Wisconsin to Block Absentee Voter Witness Requirements – Anything to Steal an Election!

National Democrats led by far left attorney Marc Elias are suing the state of Wisconsin to block absentee voter witness requirements.

Elias and Democrats want to rid US elections of rules and procedures that prevent Democrats from cheating and stealing votes. This is their latest action.

The current Wisconsin law requires a witness sign and address an absentee ballot envelope. This makes it harder for Democrats to cheat. Of course, Democrats want this eliminated.

When liberal Democrats like Elias can’t legislate their radical agenda to foist upon all Americans, they simply file lawsuits with friendly circuit courts in hopes of accomplishing their radical agenda.

The Republican Party remains absent and silent from this latest move by Elias and the Democrats. We have grown accustomed to that.

The AP reported:

A national Democratic law firm on Monday challenged Wisconsin’s witness requirements for absentee voting, arguing that the state is violating the federal Voting Rights Act by demanding a witness signature on ballot envelopes.

Elias Law Group, representing four Wisconsin voters, called the requirement a “burden” to voters in the lawsuit, which they filed in federal court against the Wisconsin Elections Commission and other elections officials.

State law requires clerks to reject absentee ballots that are missing a witness’ address or signature. A Wisconsin judge ruled last year that elections officials cannot correct or fill in missing information on witness certifications, a practice known as ballot curing.

The Voting Rights Act prohibits states from requiring a voter to “prove his qualifications by the voucher of registered voters or members of any other class.”

The elections commission did not immediately respond to an email on Monday seeking comment and asking how many ballots have been rejected over missing witness information in recent elections.

Ukraine Accused Of Using Cluster Bombs On Russian Village Near Border

Russian officials have accused Ukraine forces of using cluster munitions against civilian targets. The governor of Russia's Bryansk region on Tuesday said that a Russian village came under attack which lies near the border.

Gov. Alexander Bogomaz announced on Telegram that cluster bomblets were observed in a cross-border attack on the village of Klimovo, but no casualties have been reported.

Reuters said it wasn't able to independently verify the claim, for which there was no immediately available visual evidence. "The governor of Russia's Bryansk region has alleged Ukraine used cluster munitions on a Russian village near the Ukrainian border, hitting several houses," EuroNews reports.

Russian border regions like Bryansk and Belgorod in particular have come under frequent indiscriminate shelling throughout at least the last year of war.

It was only in this past summer that Washington escalated its support to Kiev through the supply of cluster munitions, a weapon type currently banned by more than 120 countries:

Washington controversially supplied Kyiv with cluster bombs in July - which was blasted as a "terrible mistake" by politicians and rights groups.

…Like a shotgun, they splatter explosive submunitions over an area as big as several football fields. These can then lie dormant like landmines, killing and maiming civilians years after a conflict has finished.

The Biden administration late last month announced it would likely include more cluster bombs in the next weapons package for Ukraine, which will draw on previously approved funds.

Grandma Sexually Abused by Police Over Window Tint, in Ominous Secret 'Torture Warehouse' — Lawsuit

This disturbing discovery underscores a pervasive trend of covert police operations and the lengths some officers will go to abuse their power.

In a recent revelation that sends chills down the spine of those familiar with the Homan Square revelations in Chicago, the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) has come under intense scrutiny for allegations of a "torture warehouse" eerily echoing those harrowing tales. This disturbing discovery underscores a pervasive trend of covert police operations and the lengths some officers will go to abuse their power.

The BRPD is currently reeling from lawsuits and investigations relating to a facility dubbed the "Brave Cave." Ternell Brown and Jeremy Lee, two victims of this ominous facility, have come forward with their experiences. Both their stories are a crude reminder of the unchecked power and brutal tactics that some police officers resort to.

For those unfamiliar, Homan Square in Chicago was a secretive police detention facility where detainees were reportedly held without legal counsel, subjected to physical abuse, and went missing from official records. The story of the "Brave Cave" draws chilling parallels.

Ternell Brown, a 47-year-old grandmother, narrates an ordeal of being "sexually humiliated" following unnecessary strip and body cavity searches, all stemming from a traffic stop due to window tint. Even after clarifying that she possessed legal prescription drugs, Brown was forcibly taken to the "Brave Cave," where she underwent what her legal team terms illegal strip searches.

Similarly, Jeremy Lee's experience sounds straight out of a dystopian narrative. Arrested and taken to the warehouse, Lee was allegedly subjected to such intense physical abuse that the jail demanded he receive hospital treatment before being admitted. Upon his arrival at the warehouse, the surveillance footage suggests that officers deliberately turned off their body cameras — a telling act that speaks volumes — before claiming he "charged" officers, giving them a reason to beat him to a pulp.

While these incidents are harrowing, they are hardly isolated. Lee was detained simply for being found on a porch, suggesting that the threshold for being taken to such facilities is shockingly low.

Brown's detention for a mere window tint and her subsequent treatment for possessing legal prescription drugs point to a system that is not merely broken but is actively predatory. These cases bring forth a crucial question: How many more individuals, detained for minor offenses or simple misunderstandings, have faced similar treatment?

Sinaloa’s Chapitos Order Stoppage of Fentanyl Production, Trade on Their Turf

A series of cartel banners signed by the Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel point to an apparent order by the criminal organization to stop all production, trade, and shipments of fentanyl on their turf. The banner comes as international tensions rise as fentanyl deaths set records in the U.S.

Unknown cartel members hung the banners signed by Los Chapitos throughout the cities of Culiacan, Mazatlan, Guamichil, and others in Sinaloa. In the banners, the criminal organization claims that news outlets falsely blame them and that the government is refusing to go after the real producers of the drug.

In the banners, the Chapitos ordered a full stop to all production, shipping, sale, and distribution of fentanyl on their turfs. The group claims that there would be consequences for those who disobey the order.

“We never have and never will be related to this business,” the banner states.

Despite the claims in the banner, the U.S. Department of Justice has publicly identified the Chapitos as the largest producer and distributor of fentanyl. Chapitos is the name used for the faction of the Sinaloa Cartel that is run by the sons of jailed drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. Last month, Mexico extradited Ovidio “El Raton” Guzman, one of El Chapo’s sons and member of Los Chapitos, who is wanted on several drug trafficking and money laundering charges, Breitbart Texas reported.

Death penalty for child rape goes into effect in Florida

A number of new laws are now in effect, as of Sunday. Arguably the most controversial centers around changes to Florida’s death penalty. Child rapists can now face execution for their crimes.

The law specifically pertains to child victims under the age of 12. Higher courts have already said imposing death sentences in these types of cases is a violation of the 8th Amendment. While some say the law is still a measure of protecting children, others say different.

Florida courts now have a green light to send child rapists to death row. It was a measure that received bipartisan support as it rose through Tallahassee.

Upon signing it into law, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said: “These are really the worst of the worst. The perpetrators of these crimes are often serial offenders.”

Maria DeLiberato is the executive director of Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty. She does not disagree.

“Of course, Child sexual battery is one of the most horrific crimes that one can think of,” said Mario DeLiberato, Executive Director, Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty.

DeLiberato, an attorney herself, explains even though the law is now technically in effect in Florida, the Supreme Court would first have to reverse its initial ruling for it to apply to a particular case.

“The legislature, to their credit, acknowledged that when they passed it right, they said, ‘we know this isn’t the law, we just hope the law will get change,’ said DeLiberato.

DeLiberato says the trauma doesn’t end there for the victim.

“You’re also dealing with a living victim who would have to be a part of the inevitable decades-long death penalty process. A death penalty case is not quick. It doesn’t go away quickly. It languishes for years and years and years,” said DeLiberato.

DeLiberato also points to alarming statistics. According to the Child Welfare Information Gateway.

About 90 percent of child sex abuse victims know their abuser and about 30 percent of children are abused by family members.

“So now, you’ve got this whole dynamic where a child is going to bear the weight of a possible death sentence to a neighbor, an uncle, grandfather, something that someone that they know that everybody in their family is not going to feel the exact same way about,” said DeLiberato.

This new law would still require an 8 to 4 jury recommendation for a death sentence.

Investigation Finds Biden Administration Has Awarded Over $100 Million in Transgender Research Grants

“Several of the grants funded research into transgender treatment specifically for children.”

A recent investigation demonstrates that when it comes to endorsing transgenderism, the Biden administration is putting its money where its mouth is.

The Biden administration has awarded over $100 million in federal grants to colleges, universities, and hospitals to fund research into “transgender” medicine, according to a report published by the Capital Research Center on Sept. 12.

Researchers Parker Thayer and Katie Cagle write that the Biden Administration has spent “over $104 million in payments to initiatives mostly or exclusively promoting, subsidizing, or studying transgenderism.”

Thayer and Cagle point out that despite claims made by Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine that “gender-affirming care” is necessary and safe for youth, these federally-funded research programs “examined catastrophic side effects from the hormonal and surgical transition procedures that the administration insists are supported by overwhelming medical consensus.”

Several of the grants funded research into transgender treatment specifically for children.

A $161,192 study conducted by the University of Wisconsin, for example, investigated how social media influences youth’s perceptions of gender identity.

Another $136,000 study by Princeton University examined the relationship between hormone therapies and mental health for transgender-identifying youth, drawing attention to the fact that no existing study can actually prove the treatments are psychologically beneficial.

Several studies flagged in the Capital Research Center report dealt with the side effects of transgender treatment, such as increased risk of HIV infection, prostate cancer, and breast cancer.

A grant to the Medical College of Wisconsin observed that estrogen, which is used in “gender-affirming hormone therapy,” is a “well-established risk factor for breast cancer.”

The Biden administration even issued a grant worth over $1 million to the University California, San Diego to study prostate cancer risk among transgender-identifying adults.

Israel arrests nine in operation targeting online terrorism incitement

The anti-online incitement team is composed of police officers, Shin Bet officials, the IDF and prosecutors.

Nine people were arrested over seven months of operation by a special online terrorism incitement team established by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, his office announced on Tuesday morning.

Since the unit was founded in February, twenty-five other people were arrested, 100 incidents are under investigation, 40 other investigations were filed, and 759 posts were removed from social media.

The team was created in response to a wave of terrorism in 2022, which according to the ministry was fueled by incitement by Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist elements. The incitement led to teenagers as young as 13 being inspired to carry out attacks.

Who contributes to these efforts?

The anti-online incitement team is composed of police officers, Shin Bet officials, the IDF and prosecutors, and claims to be monitoring and reviewing online content.

Ben-Gvir said that the results proved that the team was having an impact.

"For years, senior security officials in Israel have been warning that social media is fertile ground for terrorist organizations to exploit," said Ben-Gvir.

The head of the unit, Assistant Commissioner Shlomit Lands, said "Unfortunately, incitement to terrorism permeates into online space and easily reaches affected parties, including teenagers and children."

Suspect in custody after gang rape of 11-year-old girl who was lured by 'auntie,' plied with alcohol, and locked in basement with 2 other girls

Eleven illegal immigrants were apprehended at the scene of the alleged crime.

A 22-year-old man from Texas has been charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a Minnesota girl 11 years his junior.

Oscar Ernesto Luna is facing one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to KSTP, police in Bemidji, Minnesota received a call from the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center's Emergency Department on September 23 alerting them that an 11-year-old had been admitted to the hospital with injuries typically sustained via sexual assault. She had numerous cuts all over her body, and said she was in pain.

The girl told investigators that she had been dragged into a car full of men by a woman described as her "auntie" and had a paper bag put over her head.

She was brought to a house, where she was subsequently tied up, pushed down the stairs, and forced by her relative to drink alcohol. She was then allegedly raped by a group of men.

The victim was eventually able to escape with the help of at least one other underage female being held in the house. She recalled one girl who was tied up and unconscious in a closet, two who were next to her when she was assaulted, and one other. The status of the other captives has not been revealed.

In a press release, the Bemidji Police Department explained that investigators were able to locate the property at 1821 America Court NW and execute a search warrant.

Luna, who fit the description given by the victim, was subsequently arrested via a warrant for a different offense committed in nearby Hennepin County. Eleven other men, all of whom were identified as illegal immigrants, were taken away by United States Border Patrol officers to be processed.

As KARE11 reports, Luna admitted that he knew the "auntie," but denied having sexually assaulted the girl.
