I wanted the Trump path to President through the speakership as well, but this late in the game, I don't see Democrats getting rid of Brandon and Ho. Even when impeachment goes forward, no demoncrat will vote to impeach or convict or they will never get reelected.

it ain't over until it's over

although the dems were instructed to vote yes on removal, no one knows what last minute, under the table deals will be made.

I want to see these back room deals on CR's stopped. This is governing by threat and crisis.

They keep inferring that throwing out McCarthy will result in the Dems gaining control of the speakership.

Not gonna happen if Republicans do not defect.

They keep saying how great McCarthy is and what a job he's done.

Maybe he did better than Pelosi did, but doing the job of the people - NO!

Democrats will likely still vote yes in a block to try to get the House into a protracted battle to get a new speaker. They will want to keep that going for as long possible for PR purposes.

Read somewhere that McCarthy can be nominated back to being speaker even after being removed.

If he is removed, we will likely have to deal with that fight for quite a while before the sides try a compromise nomination.
