Unless there is some deal already made for enough Dems to defect and convict Brandon and HO after they're impeached, there is no need for Trump to become speaker. I don't think Dems will be able to explain why they backed the dummy all the way then suddenly feed him to the wolves.

The Trump speaker thing was only meant to give 45 a quick path back to the WH after the two current imposters were taken out. I no longer think that plan is in play. Trump has already said that he doesn't want to be speaker. I think he would be frustrated and bored in the position.

I think they want Brandon to keep screwing up the country to the point where they can't print enough fake votes to steal 2024.

RFK Jr. says he is going to steal votes from Trump. Maybe some, but it's the democrats who are going to be looking for a different choice in huge numbers, not the MAGA crowd.

When I heard that there will be a speaker pro temp, I wasn't too worried about McCarthy getting the boot. McHenry has all the powers of a speaker, so I say, impeachment inquiry will likely stay on schedule. No reason not to do it, and getting it done in a speedy manner might make the selection of a new speaker easier, not harder. One less thing to debate about. Now when the current CR runs out, that will be the test.

Trump doesn't want it.

He said so publicly at the last speaker vote.

No reason to take him off the campaign trail even more than his court appearances are already forcing him to do.

You are wrong, as the trials will not be canceled.

A sitting president cannot be indicted, etc. A speaker has no such protection.

Yes, such a position would trigger the libs greatly, but I don't expect Trump to change his stated rejection of the office this time, either.
