i don't think any legislative business can be done without a speaker. think about just the CR issue alone… i don't think the Dims realize what they just did.
they probably think that another swamp creature will be put in as speaker under the same agreement that mccarthy had, and they don't care because it will last at least another 6 months or so, and then election season, etc. etc.
i don't think that's how it will play out this time. no deals this time.
only DJT will be left standing as a speaker if Gaetz stands firm.
Dims might actually agree to it because they think they'll be able to make him look bad and frustrate him prior to election season…
