Anon, don't argue with a liberal. It is an exercise in futility and insanity. Understanding is based on volition, the will. He believes the crap because he chooses to believe it. You will not and can not change his mind. AND if you won the argument, you would find he simply used that argument as a smokescreen to hide his immoral life behind because if you with the argument he will quickly dash to another to hide behind that. Stick to the basics. For example, ask him "What is evil, exactly?" and walk away. Don't expect a response. Don't bring it up again. Next time ask him, "Who gets to decide what is evil and what is good?" and walk away. Do not argue with a liberal. Put his value above his politics, just as your value is above yours. Let him see and feel that you love him and respect him apart from political arguments. Only that will change his life.
