UK asks European countries to take its criminals – The Times

The British government is seeking to rent cell space from foreign countries to combat overcrowding in its prisons

The UK’s Ministry of Justice is in talks with correctional facilities across Europe to rent out space to tackle chronic overcrowding in its prisons, according to Justice Secretary Alex Chalk, who gave a speech on the subject at a Conservative Party conference.

As reported by The Times on Tuesday, the British government was inspired by how countries like Norway and Belgium had rented cells abroad in the past and is now looking to change the law to allow prisoners sentenced in England and Wales to serve their terms overseas.

Chalk stated that the UK is already in exploratory discussions with possible partners in Europe and that one of the first countries on the list of potential candidates is Estonia, which he had personally visited this summer.

This government is doing more than any since the Victorian era to expand prison capacity,” Chalk told the conference. “Alongside our extra 20,000 prison places program, refurbishment of old prisons, and rapid deployment cells, renting prison places in other countries will ensure that we always have the space to keep the public safe from the most dangerous offenders.” (I’m pretty sure that bragging about cruel punishment more than the Victoria Era, is not something should be proud of.)

The Justice Ministry’s plan comes as the UK has been dealing with declining prison capacity. According to The Times, as of last week, only 768 available places were left in jails across England and Wales.

Reacting to the proposal, representatives of the Labour Party and prison reform activists have stressed that the government’s move was a sign that the UK penitentiary system is failing and that the Conservative Party cannot find an alternative solution to the problem.

Earlier this year, the Ministry of Justice activated emergency procedures to use 400 police cells to house convicts as prisons had run out of space. According to official data from late September, the UK currently houses 87,793 inmates. At the current imprisonment rate, that number is expected to rise to 94,400 by March 2025 and to106,300 by 2027.Meanwhile, the total capacity of UK prisons today is listed at just 88,561. (UK deport terrorists, that might help.)

Aside from overcrowding, conditions in British prisons have also been deemed so bad that a German court last month even refused to extradite an Albanian man to the UK, arguing that there were “valid grounds” to believe his fundamental rights would not be protected in the UK based on “the state of the British prison system.”

(This is what happens to countries that go woke. Now they want to shift their burden on others. Stop arresting people for praying outside of abortion clinics, or using “mean words”. You won’t have the problem of squashing citizens freedom anymore)

Activists call on Berlin to stop arms shipments to Ukraine(VIDEOS)

Unity Day in Germany was marked by several demonstrations, including those criticizing foreign policy

Opposition groups from the both sides of the political spectrum held demonstrations across Germany as the country marked Unity Day on Tuesday. Several rallies criticized government policies, including arms shipments to Ukraine.

Some 4,600 people showed up for an event in Berlin, which was organized by the right-wing Alternative for Germany party. The march ended with a rally at the Lustgarten park in the capital center and went without an incident, except for a few verbal confrontations, according to the local press.

Protesters held banners urging accountability for government officials, including Chancellor Olaf Scholtz and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. German government policies criticized by the protestors included continued arms deliveries to Ukraine and the handling of the refugee influx.National media dismissed the event as a gathering of “conspiracy theorists.” (Pathetic, don’t they know that smear doesn’t work anymore?)

In Dusseldorf, left-wing organizers staged a rally urging Berlin to stop arms shipments to Ukraine. They held banners calling for “peace without NATO” and an end to the prosecution of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, among other things. The journalist is being held in a high security prison in the UK, pending extradition to the US.

“For 70 years the US has been stirring one war after another. It is about democracy supposedly, but in reality, it’s about natural resources,” one protester told Ruptly video agency, explaining her anti-NATO attitude.any, celebrating the country’s re-unification in 1990. The date is widely considered a milestone marking the end of the Cold War era.

Russia and other critics of US foreign policy have argued that Washington refuses to accept transitioning to a new geopolitical order. They claim that humanity is moving away from a period of Western unipolarity that followed the Cold War, towards a new multipolar system, and that Western nations seek to forestall that process.

South Korea warns North about ‘end of regime’

Seoul has vowed to “overwhelmingly” respond to any possible future attack

South Korea has warned that Pyongyang would see the “end of its regime” if it ever launched a nuclear strike, also declaring that Washington would come to its aid in the event of a conflict with the DPRK.

Seoul’s Defense Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday in response to recent developments in the North, after officials there pledged to bolster the country’s nuclear arsenal, even codifying the policy in the North Korean constitution.

“Our military is equipped with a combined South Korea-US readiness posturethat can overwhelmingly respond to any attack from North Korea,” the Defense Ministry said, adding “If North Korea attempts to use nukes, it will face the end of its regime.”

The statement went on to say that Pyongyang’s nuclear forces are a “grave threat that harms peace and stability” in the region, arguing that the country will only “become further isolated from the international community” if it continues on the present course.

During a speech at the Supreme People’s Assembly last week, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un stated that thecountry’s pursuit of nuclear arms has been “made permanent as the basic law of the state.” Contrary to the comments from Seoul, Kim said these weapons will help to “deter war and protect regional and global peace by rapidly developing nuclear weapons to a higher level,”adding that the government had merely established the “legal foundations for guaranteeing security.”

The new constitutional amendment came just one year after the legislative body codified Kim’s nuclear weapons policy as “irreversible,”including approval for preemptive use. North Korea has rejected appeals by the South and the US to abandon its nuclear program in exchange for promises of sanctions relief, and Kim vowed earlier this year to “exponentially”boost production of warheads. He has ramped up missile tests amid escalating tensions with Washington and Seoul, which have also launched a flurry of war games around the Korean Peninsula in recent years despite repeated complaints from Pyongyang.

The latest comments from the South Korean Defense Ministry echoed past remarks by South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, who warned that the North Korean state would be brought to an end should it ever resort to nuclear weapons. At the time, the president also touted Seoul’s close ties with Washington, which currently maintains just shy of 30,000 soldiers in the country.

(Trump cooled it down with North and South Korea, Bidan intentionally heated it up for his kickbacks from MIC. Anons should consider MIC as the #1 threat to Trump and America.)

JAG Schedules Detainee Mark Milley’s Tribunal

By Michael Baxter - October 3, 2023

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark A. Milley has promised JAG investigators at Guantanamo Bay “an epic payback” unless he is set free and Vice Adm. Darse E. Crandall surrenders to the proper authority, either his replacement, Woke General Charles Q. Brown, or Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, JAG sources told Real Raw News.

As reported previously, Milley was arrested last month on treason charges and brought to GITMO to await a military tribunal. In custody he spun an incredulous yarn—telling investigators his arrest was unlawful because he and Trump were secretly working together to expose Deep Staters in the U.S. Armed Forces, among them General Smith, 5th Special Forces Group commander Col. Brent Lindemen, and Adm. Crandall, according to Milley.

Our source said that Trump on September 29 contested Milley’s claims, saying instead that Milley embodied the Deep State’s evils and was “an embarrassment and the worst general the country has ever seen.”

“This guy is playing games or off his rocker,” Trump said on a call with Adm. Crandall. “Why the hell would he say he’s working for me knowing I’d deny it? Don’t let this guy play crazy.”

The admiral assured Trump that JAG’s case against Milley was ironclad, bulletproof. When investigators informed him of Trump’s statement, Milley said, “Of course he’s denying it. That’s part of the operation. He can’t implicate himself.”

Several days of confinement, however, seemed to shatter Milley’s facade. On Monday he amended his story, swearing at investigators and damning President Trump for “tricking dishonorable officers to follow him.” His persistent castigation of JAG and Trump, whom he called “enemies of the United States,” went on for several hours, ending only after investigators realized the futility of interrogating someone so entrenched in the Deep State.

“Save yourselves by releasing me. Tell your admiral to give up. It’s your only hope,” Milley told them.

Milley’s tribunal, our source said, is scheduled to begin October 10.

Kevin McCarthy Tells Republican Caucus He Will Not Seek Speakership Again – Here’s My Thoughts

October 3, 2023 | Sundance |

According to multiple DC media sources, a quiet effort is underway by members of the professionally republican mindset to kick Matt Gaetz out of the House Republican caucus. However, the advocates worry they will be primaried by voters in their district, as the population of Republican voters supports Gaetz. It is a duplicitous dynamic.

Meanwhile, Kevin McCarthy has told his Republican conference that despite prior statements, he will not attempt to become the House Speaker again and will instead retire to his home district in California.

No one is quite sure what comes next; what is clear is that Gaetz has channeled the frustration of the Republican/MAGA base into an actionable result. This should not come as a surprise to the GOPe, although many of the cloistered clan continue pretending not to understand the dynamic at play.

Allow me to provide some simple clarity.

♦ In 2009 72% of the country, and an even larger percentage of the Republican voters, did not want Obamacare. The govt takeover of healthcare was along purely ideological grounds. For the 2010 midterm election, the professional Republican apparatus campaigned on this single issue – repeal Obamacare. The voters destroyed the Democrats and flipped 67 seats to Republican control. The professional Republicans wanted the House, frustrated American voters gave it to them.

The Republicans did nothing.

♦ In 2012, the professional Republicans campaigned on retaining the House and asked to begin a process of taking down the Democrat control of the Senate. Remember, it was a 60/40 Senate when the Obamacare boondoggle was begun. Keep the House, help us take Senate seats, and we will repeal Obamacare and balance the budget. That was the call of the 2012 professional Republicans. The voters delivered. The GOPe kept the house, took 6 seats in the Senate and introduced a wave of fresh Republican blood.

The Republicans did nothing.

♦ In the 2014 midterm election, the professional Republicans campaigned on retaining the House and now flipping the Senate with more GOP seats. Keep the House, give us the Senate majority, and we will repeal Obamacare and deliver a balanced budget. The voters again delivered. Beginning in January 2015, the Republicans controlled the House and the Senate majorities for Obama’s last two years.

The Republicans did nothing.

Worse still, even with professional Republican control of both chambers of congress, President Obama never had to use his veto pen.

♦ In the 2016 election, after the professional Republicans could no longer stop/block candidate Donald Trump, they said if we get the White House, retain the House and retain the Senate, we will repeal Obamacare, return to regular budgetary order, and balance the budget. Stunningly, against all the odds, the voters yet again delivered. President Trump won the election; Republicans now held the White House, the House and the Senate – as requested.

=The Republicans did nothing.

Worse still, the professional Republicans acted as if they were the dog that just caught the car. Now they had no excuses, and as a result there was an exodus of retirements announced from the caucus of the professionally Republican to begin in 2018.

Simultaneously, the professional Republicans passively allowed the targeting of Donald Trump by a fully weaponized intelligence apparatus and justice system to commence. To say the professionally Republican were willfully blind would be polite and generously honest.

In the background the RNC did nothing. The California ballot harvesting operation of 2018 reflected a complete lack of action by the RNC or CA GOP. We all well remember how that operation expanded nationwide in 2020, again with the RNC doing nothing.

This is the reality of what took place between the elections of 2010 and 2020. Every ask of the professionally rRpublican apparatus was delivered by voters. Every ask of the voters in return was ignored. Effective January 2021, Obamacare still exists, no budget was ever produced, the borders were unsecured, the economy tanked due to Biden policy, energy and printing presses. Crises, along with insufferable government mandates, amplified and expanded from coast to coast.

The Green New Deal was passed by Republicans and Democrats, and the collapse of the economy came with it.

Clear enough?

Suddenly, as if there was no background of repeated broken promises and a complete failure to deliver on any key request,Kevin McCarthy and his legion of professionally Republican supporters pretend they cannot fathom why the base voters are more than happy to support Matt Gaetz.

Battered Conservative no more!
