Bob Menendez’s Wife Killed A Man In A Car Accident: REPORT

Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez’s wife Nadine Menendez allegedly received special treatment after killing a man in a car crash in December 2018, according to The New York Times.

Menendez’s wife allegedly killed a 49-year-old man named Richard Koop while driving her black Mercedes at night, according to the NYT. Officials ruled her not to be culpable in the incident and promptly let her free; there is speculation about whether Menendez tried to interfere on his wife’s behalf.

A witness asserted the police officers questioning Menendez’s wife seemed to be aware of who she was and gave her preferential treatment as a result, according to the NYT. The police reports suggest authorities did not test Menendez’s wife for drugs or alcohol.

“It is determined that at this time [she] was not at fault for the motor vehicle crash and that Mr. Koop was jaywalking,” the Bogota Police Department sergeant reported the following day, according to the NYT.

The Menendezes allegedly never reached out to Koop’s family and local authorities barely did, according to the NYT. “The family really has had serious concerns over what we felt was a very sparse, one-sided investigation,” Koop’s sister Rosemarie Koop-Angelicola told the NYT. “Definitely a lack of legal enthusiasm to take this case, definite lack of media coverage, and a lack of communication by the authorities of Bergen County. We felt that the whole thing was very silently swept under the rug.”

Menendez and his wife are both accused of accepting bribes and both have pled not guilty. They allegedly accepted a Mercedes-Benz valued at over $60,000 as a bribe in 2019 after the car she was driving experienced damage in the crash, which “left her without a car,” according to the indictment against them.

The alleged bribe was from a New Jersey businessman Jose Uribe and an Egyptian friend Wael Hana, in exchange for Menendez helping with Uribe’s associates’ legal matter, according to the NYT.

Menendez is alleged to have used his status to “disrupt a criminal case undertaken by the New Jersey Attorney General’s (AG) Office related to associates of Uribe,” according to the indictment press release. Menendez allegedly called the New Jersey AG’s office and attempted to coerce him into taking it easy on Uribe’s associate, according to the NYT.

“My understanding was this individual ran in front of her car, and she was not at fault,” Menendez’s wife’s lawyer David Schertler told the NYT. He said the collision is unrelated to the bribery charges.

Pope Francis: Americans’ ‘Irresponsible Lifestyle’ Fuels Climate Crisis

Pope Francis has thrown the moral authority of the papacy behind the so-called climate crisis, insisting that the world “is collapsing and may be nearing the breaking point” due to global warming.

“Despite all attempts to deny, conceal, gloss over or relativize the issue, the signs of climate change are here and increasingly evident,” the pontiff writes in a new teaching letter titled Laudate Deum (Praise God).

“No one can ignore the fact that in recent years we have witnessed extreme weather phenomena, frequent periods of unusual heat, drought and other cries of protest on the part of the earth that are only a few palpable expressions of a silent disease that affects everyone,” he writes in the letter published Wednesday.

The pope goes on to say that “what we are presently experiencing is an unusual acceleration of warming, at such a speed that it will take only one generation – not centuries or millennia – in order to verify it.”

Despite the fact that the United States is one of the countries with the cleanest air in the world, the pope singles out America as specially to blame for the “climate emergency.”

“If we consider that emissions per individual in the United States are about two times greater than those of individuals living in China, and about seven times greater than the average of the poorest countries, we can state that a broad change in the irresponsible lifestyle connected with the Western model would have a significant long-term impact,” he declares.

The warming of the planet is provoked by a “global imbalance,” Francis states. “Droughts and floods, the dried-up lakes, communities swept away by seaquakes and flooding ultimately have the same origin.”

Moreover, he alleges, “millions of people are losing their jobs due to different effects of climate change: rising sea levels, droughts and other phenomena affecting the planet have left many people adrift.”

“It is no longer possible to doubt the human – ‘anthropic’ – origin of climate change,” the pope claims, because global warming is caused by “the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere,” which is 423 parts per million as of June 2023.

The only solution to the climate crisis, the pope asserts, is multilateralism.

“For there to be solid and lasting advances, I would insist that, preference should be given to multilateral agreements between States,” he writes.

The very fact that answers to problems can come from any country “ends up presenting multilateralism as an inevitable process,” he contends.

Francis has devoted more teaching letters (2) to the environment than to any other topic, and has made a denunciation of the “climate crisis” a hallmark of his pontificate.

As the pope was preparing his latest letter over the summer, however, a group of over 1,600 prominent scientists, including two Nobel Prize winners, was preparing to issue the “World Climate Declaration,” refuting the existence of a so-called “climate emergency.”

Among other things, the Declaration asserts that climate models have proven inadequate for predicting global warming, that carbon dioxide (CO2) is not a pollutant, and that climate change has not increased natural disasters.

“The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases,” the Declaration notes. “The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing a period of warming.”

Moreover, the world has warmed “significantly less than predicted by IPCC on the basis of modeled anthropogenic forcing,” the text states, and the gap between the real world and the modeled world “tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.”

“There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent,” the document declares. “However, there is ample evidence that CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly.”

“There is no climate emergency,” it concludes. “Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm.”

“We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. Go for adaptation instead of mitigation; adaptation works whatever the causes are,” it adds.

Dissenting views CRIMINALIZED in the U.K. under new Online Safety Act, which gets you ARRESTED if government doesn’t like what you say

An independent journalist based out of England has been arrested for sharing "malinformation" about Ukraine.

In accordance with the new Online Safety Act, also known as the United Kingdom's censorship law, Warren Thornton, who runs the podcast "The Real Truth," was in the midst of streaming on September 24 when police officers in Bristol showed up at his door and demanded entry in order to speak with him.

For the apparent crime of spreading "misinformation" about the situation in Ukraine, Thornton was hauled off by the cops and will presumably now be charged with some kind of "crime" for his disobedient speech.

"Thornton is a critic of NATO's escalation of the war in Ukraine and has posted several videos about Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilians and the secret existence of biolabs in Ukraine," reported Human Events about the incident.

"He was also quick to report how a former Waffen-SS Nazi soldier was allowed to sit in the Canadian House of Commons Gallery during a speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy."

Canada is similarly drafting its own censorship bill to do the same thing there

Scarily, our neighbors to the north are planning on unleashing a similar bill. Canada's left-wing government is preparing nearly identical legislation as the U.K.'s Online Safety Act that will punish as a crime the spread of "disinformation" on the internet.

The Canadian bill, as it currently stands, is arguably worse than the U.K.'s Online Safety Bill in that it does not even define what "disinformation" actually is. In other words, Justin Trudeau's regime will simply make up the rules along the way.

At the moment when the police arrived, Thornton was actually in the process of reporting on the embarrassing incident at the Canadian House of Commons Gallery. Thornton was interviewing guest Fiona Ryan when the host was plucked from his microphone by the cops about 20 minutes before the broadcast was scheduled to end.

Ryan had been conversing with Johnee, the host of "Café Revolution," a YouTube channel that reports from the front line of the Russia-Ukraine war in Donetsk. Ryan did not even know what happened to Thornton until she later discovered an exchange on WhatsApp revealing that he had been arrested by U.K. police.

After arriving at the police station, Thornton later reported that his arresting officers became "flustered" during their interrogation of him because they could not explain to him which video post had led to his arrest.

When Thornton's soon-to-be lawyer arrived on the scene, the guy "ripped them to bits," according to Thornton. Said lawyer then told the police to "charge him or release him."

In the end, British police decided not to charge Thornton with any crime – because in the real world, he did not actually commit one, regardless of the reprehensible Online Safety Act. Thornton did end up spending the entire weekend in a jail cell, though, before being released.

In a later post on Rumble, Thornton described his ordeal with British law enforcement as a "jolly interesting" experience. He also revealed that when he asked the officers whether he was being charged with anything beyond just spreading "misinformation," they definitively told him no.

Back in early 2022, we reported that the U.K. was also planning to target speech that criticizes the "official" narrative surrounding the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), even though the official COVID story has changed more times than we can count.

Jordan slams vandalism of Muslim sites; US pans spitting on Christians in Jerusalem

Police chief Shabtai says ‘creative activities’ in the works to prevent rise in violence against non-Jewish worshipers in Old City

The Jordanian foreign ministry denounced on Wednesday the “continuing violations and attacks” against Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem, while the Biden administration issued its own condemnation of footage from earlier this week showing ultra-Orthodox Jews spitting toward Christian worshipers in the Old City.

In a letter of protest to the Israeli embassy in Amman, the ministry condemned the actions undertaken by “extremists, settlers and Knesset members” against Muslim sites.

The letter also criticized restricted access to the Temple Mount for Muslims seeking to worship at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, as well as the recent desecration of Islamic cemeteries near the complex.

The Jordanians also condemned recent violence against Christians in the Old City, imploring Israel to comply with its legal obligations as the “occupying power.”

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai also spoke out on the issue, saying on Wednesday that “in these days when the people of Israel come out in masses to celebrate and enjoy the beauty of Israel, any expression of hate based on religious background is a stain that ruins the special holiday atmosphere throughout the country and particularly in Jerusalem.”
