Trump returns for New York civil trial after judge imposes gag order

"They've weaponized justice in our country. This trial is a disgrace," Trump said.

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday appeared again in a Manhattan court for the third day of New York Attorney General Letitia James' civil lawsuit after Judge Arthur Engoron issued a limited gag order against the former president over the case.

Outside of the courtroom Wednesday, Trump slammed the trial process, which he says "doesn't allow me a jury, doesn't allow me anything."

Engoron ruled last week that the former president was liable for defrauding insurers and banks by inflating his property values, which would have lowered his insurance costs and given him better loan terms.

Biden Handing out $100 Million to Help EV Industry in Disadvantaged Communities

In a plan that specifically states it is to “ensure disadvantaged communities” are able to benefit from Joe Biden’s new demands for – and spending on – electric cars, the administration is committing $100 million to repair and replace EV charging stations across the country.

A report from government watchdog Judicial Watch explains Biden is “subsidizing” the electric vehicle industry with $15.5 billion for which taxpayers will be on the hook.

That’s in addition to the $100 million for EV charging station fixes, the report said.

“The venture will ‘ensure disadvantaged communities benefit from upgraded charging infrastructure,’ according to the Department of Transportation, which is handing out funding.

Under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program the money will be sent to states, and then to others to “strategically deploy charging stations and establish an interconnected network to facilitate data collection, access and reliability.”

Lead Stories Publishes ANOTHER Fake “Fact Check” on Gateway Pundit’s Reporting – This Time on Mayo Clinic’s Position on Hydroxychloroquine Effectiveness in treating COVID

As per their factcheck guidelines, they claim to reach out to the reporters and editors of publications before publishing a factcheck like this, and having asked the author of the original article Anthony Scott, and the Gateway Pundit editors, whether they received any email or notice from Lead Stories, we were not surprised to learn that the answer was “no.” So Lead Stories is breaking its own rules to publish this hit piece in the first place.

Lead Stories is a signatory to the International Fact Check Network, aka the IFCN. This is the supposedly “impartial” body that is supposed to regulate and provide accountability to fact checkers. As part of the fact-check industrial complex, this is an integral piece to the process to demonetize and deplatform conservative speech.

Starbucks' store closures come amid a string of exits by major chains in the area, which have been in part, motivated by a dramatic surge in crime and homelessness in San Francisco.

Coffee store chain Starbucks has announced it plans to close seven stores in San Francisco, becoming the latest firm to exit the Golden City's downtown amid an uptick in crime.

The company informed employees at the locations of the closures on Tuesday, CBS reported. The closures are slated to take effect on Oct. 22. All but one of the soon-to-be shuttered locations are in the city's downtown area.

New York judge tosses false advertising suit against Wendy's, McDonald's over burger size

U.S. District Judge Hector Gonzalez issued the ruling, which determined that that the use of flattering images of the company's products varied little from comparable advertising from other firms.

ANew York judge has dismissed a false advertising suit against fast food giants Wendy's and McDonald's that alleged the advertising from both chains misrepresented the size of their burgers.

U.S. District Judge Hector Gonzalez issued the ruling, which determined that that the use of flattering images of the company's products varied little from comparable advertising from other firms, the New York Times reported.

The attempts of McDonald's and Wendy's "to present appetizing images of their products are no different than other companies' use of visually appealing images to foster positive associations with their products," he declared.
