Billboard truck advertises sanctuary cities to illegal immigrants crossing Eagle Pass border into US

Fliers and a truck advertising to illegal immigrants who recently crossed the border have popped up in Eagle Pass, Texas urging the recent arrivals to go to sanctuary cities across the nation.

The advertisements, posted to X by the Columbia Bugle, advertised cities like Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City for illegal immigrants to travel to.

In one flier, titled 'United States of America Sanctuary City Travel Guide,' San Francisco is toted as having laws that "prohibit city employees from helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with immigration investigations or arrests unless required by law or a warrant," having "Lax Shoplifting Laws," healthcare that is available to residents regardless of immigration status, and having "diverse and tolerant people."

"A Sanctuary City is a safe haven for immigrants like you, regardless of your immigration status. These cities have policies in place to limit their cooperation with the national government’s effort to enforce immigration laws. This means you can live, work, and enjoy life with a lower risk of deportation."

Chicago is listed as having a "welcoming city ordinance," "access to services," and "language access."

A truck near the border is seen showing the Golden Gate Bridge, advertising that "San Francisco Welcomes Immigrants."

Also advertising along the border are smugglers, with officials in Kinney County, located north along the border from Eagle Pass, revealing to Tayler Hansen for The Post Millennial in July how cartels use TikTok to advertise their smuggling operations.

One translation of a Spanish post stated that the user was looking for drivers in Texas, paying $10-20,000, with smuggling occurring in the backdrop of the text.

Sheriff Brad Coe of Kinney County said at the time that "99.9 percent of smugglers they encounter and arrest are American citizens."

World Aquatics suspends trans category due to lack of interest

The world governing body for swimming banned trans athletes from competing as women last year

World Aquatics, the governing body for swimming, has suspended a planned open competition category for transgender athletes at the 2023 Swimming World Cup in Berlin this week after no entries were received, the group revealed in a press release on Tuesday.

“Following the close of registration for the Open Category competitions at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup – Berlin 2023 meet scheduled for 6-8 October, World Aquatics can confirm that no entries have been received for the Open Category events,” the sports body formerly known as FINA stated.

World Aquatics banned transgender swimmers who had transitioned after the age of 12 from competing in the elite women’s category last year after a growing body of research and the rapid dominance of the competitive field by trans athletes who began competing as women after puberty appeared to confirm an unfair advantage for such swimmers, a subject which remains controversial.

The governing body had announced the open category in August, offering trans swimmers of “all sex and gender identities” the opportunity to race in 50- and 100-meter contests “across all strokes” as a trial competition, describing the pilot project as one with “emphasis on gaining further experience for future development and celebrating diversity.”

The possibility of competing in an open category will remain available to trans athletes in the future, World Aquatics appeared to confirm in its statement on Tuesday.

“Even if there is no current demand at the elite level, the working group is planning to look at the possibility of including open category races at Masters events in the future,” it said.

A growing number of international sporting bodies have laid down rules prohibiting athletes born male from competing as women in the past year. In July, the International Cycling Union barred cyclists who underwent male puberty from women’s events, citing the unfair advantage conferred by their elevated testosterone levels while offering them a place in a newly-renamed Men/Open class. The World Athletics Council enacted a similar rule in March, prohibiting athletes who had undergone male puberty from competing in women’s track and field events regardless of their current hormone levels.

NATO website calls for nuclear war preparation

The urgent imperative to maintain NATO’s nuclear deterrence

The dismal performance of Russia’s conventional forces in the early days of the war in Ukraine risks convincing some in NATO that the future Russian threat to the Alliance can be deterred primarily via NATO’s conventional superiority, and that enhancing deterrence of Russian nuclear use in a future conflict is therefore no longer a high priority. This is a dangerous fallacy.

It fails to take into account the relevant lessons learned from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and the fundamental change in the future security environment in which NATO will have to deter or defeat Russian aggression and escalation.

So what lessons might NATO and Russian leaders draw from the war in Ukraine? Obviously, this will depend in part on the outcome of the war, which we cannot yet foresee, and could take many forms. This article assumes only that the war in Ukraine will end without Russian nuclear use, and without a decisive Russian victory.

First, NATO leaders should learn that Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine demonstrated both a high propensity to take risk, and to miscalculate profoundly in the process of doing so. That combination of risk-taking and miscalculation is extremely troubling, particularly when paired with Russia’s repeated nuclear escalation threats.

Second, NATO leadership should learn that the performance of Russian forces in Ukraine is likely to lead to increased Russian reliance on nuclear weapons. In a hypothetical future war with NATO, Russia would be likely to perceive the need to use nuclear weapons earlier in the conflict, either to seek victory or to prevent defeat. This means deterring Russian limited nuclear escalation will become even more important than deterring Russian conventional aggression.

Third, NATO’s leadership should not draw the lesson that if Russian leaders do not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, they will not do so against NATO under other circumstances. There is a tendency among some in the West to make a perilously flawed assumption: that deterrence of nuclear use is unlikely to fail because if nuclear weapons are used at all, in any number or yield, and for any purpose, the war will rapidly escalate out of control to a catastrophic large-scale exchange almost automatically. (It is of course possible that limited nuclear use could lead to uncontrolled escalation, but it is by no means certain and may not even be likely). This flawed assumption may lead to a flawed prescription: to rely primarily on the threat of uncontrolled nuclear escalation to deter Russian nuclear use at any level, ignoring Russia’s strategy, the array of nuclear capabilities that enable it, and the robust stability of central deterrence of large-scale Russia-US homeland nuclear strikes.

Fourth, if Russia’s leadership were to assume that NATO’s unwillingness to intervene militarily in Ukraine is the result of its repeated nuclear threats, Russia will draw the wrong lesson regarding NATO’s will to fight in the face of such nuclear threats in a conflict with the Alliance. This misperception could convince Russia that coercive nuclear threats or use will split the Alliance in a future crisis or conflict with acceptable risk that NATO will not respond in a way that decisively worsens Russia's position in the conflict.

Kari Lake Files Candidacy Paperwork for Kyrsten Sinema’s Senate Seat in 2024 – Location Announced for October 10 Rally

Kari Lake on Monday officially filed paperwork with the FEC to run for Arizona’s US Senate seat in 2024.

Maricopa County Recorder and Stephen Richer, who was partially responsible for Lake’s stolen election, said Lake “wouldn’t rationally run for election in 2024” if she believed the elections were corrupt. This is why they steal elections: to disenfranchise voters and prevent good candidates from taking on the swamp. This is the same reason Judges sanction and fine candidates and their attorneys for fighting stolen elections in court.

The Hollywood Attorney Identified As Hunter Biden’s Financial Benefactor Is Reportedly Helping Pay His Legal Bills

Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris, the man identified as the third party benefactor who paid $2 million of Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes, is reportedly paying a substantial portion of the younger Biden’s mounting legal bills.

Hunter Biden’s legal bills have exceeded $10 million since 2018 and he is struggling to raise money to fund his ongoing legal efforts, CNN reported Wednesday. Morris has covered some of Hunter Biden’s legal bills and encouraged him to aggressively fight ongoing investigations led by House Republicans, an unnamed source close to Hunter Biden told the outlet.

The New York Post and The New York Times identified Morris in May 2022 as the financial benefactor who paid $2 million of Hunter Biden’s delinquent taxes. The younger Biden’s failed guilty plea confirms a third party paid roughly $2 million of his tax burden spread across multiple years but the document does not name the third party.

Morris is known for his legal work on behalf of the creators of comedy show “South Park” and the musical, “The Book of Mormon.”

Hunter Biden’s legal bills are potentially exceeding $1 million per month due to his legal troubles, according to the New York Post. Morris advised Hunter Biden to bring Abbe Lowell onto his defense counsel to handle his legal issues, CNN previously reported. Lowell has written letters to Congress and Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss criticizing Republican House investigators, as well as the two IRS whistleblowers who accused DOJ officials of slow-walking and obstructing the Hunter Biden case.

Hunter Biden’s uncle and business partner, James Biden, thanked Morris for helping Biden “on behalf of the family,” according to an internal IRS memo released Sept. 27 by the House Ways and Means Committee.

“James B thought that the money was significant enough that RHB asked his uncle to say something to Morris and thank him. James B didn’t recall a specific discussion only to say thank you ‘on behalf of the family,'” the document reads.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley flagged Morris’ alleged payment in a May 2021 memo describing potential “campaign finance criminal violations” that were allegedly ignored by Delaware Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf. Shapley testified to the Ways and Means Committee in May about Morris’ payment as part of his allegations Hunter Biden received special treatment from Wolf and other DOJ investigators.

“And, then ultimately, in late 2019-2020, a Kevin Patrick Morris comes into the picture. And he was described as meeting Hunter Biden at a campaign finance event. And he paid off several different tranches of tax due and owing, to include Federal and D.C. tax due and owing,” Shapley testified.

Republican Missouri Rep. Jason Smith, chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, brought up Morris’ alleged financial support during the first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Joe Biden. Prior to the hearing, the committee released the internal IRS memos as part of a trove of documents substantiating the testimony from Shapley and IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler.

Hunter Biden and Morris recently spoke for five hours at Morris’ residence in Los Angeles, Daily Mail reported. Axios reporter Alex Thompson, known for his sources in Biden world, was spotted leaving the property as Hunter Biden walked in, according to Daily Mail.
