Gaetz forced McCarthy with that hold out to get McCarthy to make a new rule as one of the first rules to be voted on which passed known as the speaker vacate rule. As we all know now that rule was used to remove McCarthy 2 days ago. Yesterday the leader of the senate McConnel held an emergency presser to demand the house rescind that rule. Also yesterday Trump said he is open to being the next speaker and today he posted on truth social he would be open to being the speaker. Now ask yourselves this.
