A shutdown of a few months duration would show the America People how bloated the federal government has become. I can't see the Bureau of Indian Affairs being missed. I think a shut down would prevent DOE from sending student loan collection letters to those ripped off by ITT Tech. How many universities are receiving funding to carry on research to show white people have been the cause of the World's problems since the Etruscans built their first dwelling? I recall the $2million grant given to research how cow farts effect Global Warming. How about the latest version of the Obama phones? A shutdown of the federal government would be a perfect time for a Convention of the States so when they do walk back into the Capitol they get informed of the stuff they will comply with like Spending Caps and Term-Limits. Any joker says "no" reveals themselves as a K Street owned puppet and not a representative of the State like they are supposed to be. Imagine the screaming in corporate board rooms when Governors have to replace these fakers en masse and all those payoffs and "gifts" went down the drain
