Correct. It happens every 11 years. As we reach the middle of solar cycle 25 (we started counting in 1755), the flip (consider a wave of magnetic energy from the sun into the solar system) will trigger the solar maximum some time in the next 18 months. None of that is strange.
The problem is our decreasing magnetic field, down ~30% since 1859, and our reliance on electricity. At some point, the sun will pump out some moderate surge and all the electricity on earth will be gone forever. It will happen, whether next week or next year, we don't know. But it will.
Trump tried to fix it. Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas/Isis/Iran whatever you wanna call them would not take the deal.
Would be trippy but could happen (cuz Yemen), KSA and Egypt take Israel's side.
