There are places in Texas that function under rogue rules.

If you are not familiar with First Amendment audits:

Defending Constitutional rights from abuse by officials, by recording the police.

There is a growing group of people "First Amendment Activists" who have learned the law, and record interactions with police while exercising their protected right to record police and public buildings. The law is: you can record anything you can see from a publicly accessible space. You can record lobbies and patios, inside and outside – unless there is a prohibition designated by a judge.

This is usually inside a courtroom.

Auditors often walk around public buildings (like Google Maps does) video-ing, and then enter and record inside wherever there is "public access." This will spark various reactions from police - determined by their attitude and training. Auditors may be offered tours in one place, and be arrested and have their property stolen

in another place. The audits are live-streamed and so officers can become YouTube stars or YouTube villains in moments.

If an officer does not know the law and approaches an auditor before checking the law on it – he may find himself in trouble. It is all recorded, and it holds up in court.

Some of these auditors are military veterans. They do this to protect the Constitution from abuse by authoritarian officials. Watch a few of the better auditors and you will see that auditors are careful to always stay within the law.

Sometimes auditors get reports of rogue police and take their cameras to investigate. Which brings us to — the battle of Leon Valley, Texas.

Texas is now an "open carry" state, and there are various rules that are written into that law. If you "carry", you must carry a weapon in a particular way. You are allowed to enter public buildings, unless there is a courtroom?? not sure of this rule myself.

As it happens:

A 2nd amendment auditor who was familiar with the Texas gun law, knew of some signs that were posted unlawfully at a police station, and went to notify the police chief and to register a complaint. The complaint is registered with the Attorney General and the signs must then be rectified within three days or they are fined.

It is a RULE to record all interactions with police, and so a backup auditor recorded the interactions as they occurred. The complaint process did not go well. First, one officer was outright rude, then the captain was asked to come to hear the sign complaint, and he

was also rude. Remember, the auditor was not doing anything unlawful by Texas law.

That evening at midnight, the auditor was the subject of a SWAT team search warrant, for the holstered weapon and the camera. ??? They searched every nook in his home and took property not on the warrant. This was a big time no-no.

Auditors talk among themselves, and a group of auditors looked into this Leon Valley place – where this illegal search and seizure occurred. They took their cameras and recorded in front of the police station. At one point, a large group of officers came out and arrested them under some fictionalized story, and took their phones and equipment. A couple of photographers were injured with twisted shoulders, etc.

Nope. It didn't stop there. There are many livestreamed recordings of this. Where it stands now, a recording now exists – of the police chief discussing something (a possible murder they were involved in??) with some other officers.

Note: when you put a blue line on the flag, you are defacing it.

This is considered a gang flag. It is saying that they back each other up - always. Auditors consider this a clue to illegal activity.
