You are correct, but the Israelis are not too smart because if Iran gives the Taliban access, then a real war will come to Palestine and Israel. This is definitely a ploy to justify the annihilation of the Palestinian people and the grab the last of their land. Once the Talban arrives then other Arab nations will also commit troops as they will feel secure enough.
