I see opportunity knocking here. POTUS should hijack this sentiment for his own ends. Something like:
"My fellow Americans, today the democrats have proposed eliminating offensive federal law enforcement agencies.
I couldn't agree more.
Therefore I am directing the Attorney General to supervise the disbanding of the FBI and the CIA and folding their responsibilities into that of DHS and NSA.
Thanks to the leadership of the democrats, we will finally fulfill the wishes of that great President, John F. Kennedy". Thank You.
