'If any flags hurt your feelings, too f***ing bad': UFC head lifts ban on Russian flag
MMA fighters, including Russians, will once again be able to display their national flag in the UFC’s Octagon
Dana White, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), told reporters in Las Vegas late on Saturday that fighters will once again be permitted to display their national flags in the Octagon, ending a ban imposed last year.
White, who has headed the UFC since 2003, said in May 2022 that fighters of any nationality would be barred from carrying their country’s flag with them to the cage, a decision made in parallel to similar measures imposed in other sports on the heels of Moscow’s military action in Ukraine.
At the time, White refused to be drawn on the reason for the ban other than to tell reporters: “You guys know why, let’s not even play that f***ing game.”
But on Saturday night in the organization’s Apex facility on the outskirts of Las Vegas, and after American fighter Joe Pyfer held aloft the United States’ flag following a victory, White confirmed to the assembled media that the flag ban was over.
“Flags are back,” White said. “I was on vacation during the Mexican Independence Day [UFC event], and the no-flag thing drove me crazy. So, I was like, ‘Yeah, f*** that. We’re bringing flags back.’ It drove me crazy.”
Soon after the onset of Moscow’s military action in Ukraine last year, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) issued a recommendation that Russia and its ally Belarus be suspended from major international sporting events. The proposal was adopted by most major sports federations.
In some instances, Russians and Belarusians have been permitted to participate in events as neutral athletes, but only without the display of national symbols, such as a flag or anthem.
But, while White admitted on Saturday that “sometimes things are done for the intentions of the right reasons,” the UFC boss said that people shouldn’t dispute an athlete’s right to carry their own flag with them into sporting competition.
“Everybody’s too soft, everybody’s too sensitive about everything,” White said. “When the decision was made to do this, I was like, ‘Eh, what’s the big deal if they don’t have flags?’
“Mexican Independence Day flipped the switch and I was like, ‘That’s enough of the no-flags thing.’ Flags are back. If any flags hurt your feelings, too f***ing bad.”

Israel-Palestine escalation shouldn’t be ‘exaggerated’ – Polish president
The new flare-up in the Middle East is unlikely to spark a new world war, Andrzej Duda believes
The scale and potential implications of the new escalation between Israel and Gaza-based Palestinian militant group Hamas should not be “exaggerated,” Polish President Andrzej Duda believes.
The president made the remarks on Sunday as he spoke with broadcaster Polsat. Asked whether the ongoing escalation in the Middle East might lead to a new world war, Duda said it was an unlikely scenario.
“I would not exaggerate. This is not the first war there in the Middle East. Let us remember that such situations have already occurred in recent decades. There were wars fought there that did not lead to any world war. So, I wouldn’t go that far,” Duda stated.
At the same time, the president admitted that the scale of the escalation has already surpassed the most recent flare-ups, stating that it was “indeed a situation that has not been seen there for a long time and is very dangerous.”
The Polish president also claimed the conflict between Israel and Hamas actually plays into the hands of Russia since it diverts attention from the Ukrainian conflict. “This certainly helps Russia and Russian aggression against Ukraine; it distracts the world’s attention,”Duda asserted.
However, when asked whether he’d shared his take with his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog during a phone call earlier in the day, Duda said it was not the case and alleged potential involvement of any third parties in the hostilities was not discussed.
“No. We didn’t talk about that. It wasn’t a long conversation. First of all, I expressed our condolences and sympathies to the Israeli people and also to the president himself,”Duda stated.
The escalation between Israel and Hamas began early on Saturday, when the militant group launched a surprise attack on southern Israel from Gaza. The militants overran multiple military installations along the border, breaking through into Israeli territory. Multiple Israeli soldiers and civilians were killed or kidnapped during the attack, with more than 600 already confirmed dead, according to figures by ZAKA, a volunteer group that handles human remains after terrorist attacks in Israel.
Israel responded with airstrikes on Gaza, redeploying troops towards the southern border. It also announced a call-up of military reservists and formally entered a state of war on Sunday.

Maybe he is, but he is far from the only person to suggest that arms that the Biden regime sent to Ukraine have ended up in the hands of the Palestinian jihadis. In fact, Hamas itself posted a video on its Telegram channel thanking Ukraine for sending it arms. Twitter/X readers added a community note to one tweet of this video, saying, “There is no evidence to suggest Ukraine has been selling weapons to Hamas. Hamas get [sic] most of their weaponry from Iran & Syria.”
That may be so, but U.S. arms that Biden’s handlers sent to Ukraine could have made their way to Hamas without the Ukrainian government selling them. Back in late June, according to the Times of Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “ruled out supplying Ukraine with the Iron Dome missile defense system, reiterating Israel’s concern that the vital technology could fall into the hands of Iran.” Netanyahu said, “I think it’s important to understand that we’re concerned also with the possibility that systems that we would give to Ukraine would fall into Iranian hands and could be reverse engineered and we would find ourselves facing Israeli systems used against Israel.”
Also in June, Newsweek reported that “a high-ranking Israel Defense Forces (IDF) commander” said that Israel was “concerned over the risks of weapons provided by the United States and other Western nations to Ukraine ending up in the hands of Israel’s foes in the Middle East, including Iran.” And on Saturday, Abu Obaidah, a commander of Hamas’ Izzuddin Al-Qassam Brigades, said, “We thank the Islamic Republic of Iran who provided us with weapons, money and other equipment! He gave us missiles to destroy Zionist fortresses, and helped us with standard anti-tank missiles!”
American arms sent to Afghanistan could also have fallen into the wrong hands and ended up in Gaza. The June Newsweek report also stated that the same Israeli commander “said some of the U.S. small arms seized in Afghanistan have already been observed in the hands of Palestinian groups operating in the Gaza Strip.”
Even worse, wherever the arms have come from, the Biden regime is largely responsible for bankrolling this bloody jihad against Israel. Not only did Old Joe and his henchmen just send six billion dollars to the Islamic Republic of Iran, amid empty and ridiculous promises that it would only be used for “humanitarian” purposes, but the day before the war began, the Biden regime quietly approved an additional seventy-five million dollars for the Palestinians. Middle East Monitor reported Friday that “in a quiet move bypassing Republican obstructionism, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has approved the release of $75 million in crucial food assistance for Palestinians just hours before the funds were set to be redistributed elsewhere.”
Would there even be a war at all if not for all the money that the Biden regime has showered upon Iran and the Palestinians? The only thing we can say for sure about that is that back when Bad Orange Man was president and the United States wasn’t raining cash on those who scream “Death to Israel” and “Death to America,” there was nothing like the bloodletting an appalled world witnessed in Israel Saturday. Has Hamas’ Khaled Meshaal called the White House yet and exclaimed “We did it, Joe!”?
